Right now the price looks interesting because there is upwards trend but also considerable amount of resistance.
It has no direct correlation with BTC, it seems that people does not trust Ripple as much as BTC as for investment.

Bought in level 0,174 $ expecting a gain of 10% .

Ripple is such a mystery right now, pretty much like all the coins because of current instability. However, I think it will do better than other coins if regulation becomes strict, since it is backed by organizations that already are subject to compliance, so the project is adjusting accordingly.

Methodology

Selection & Weighting

The HOLD 10 Index has a policy of selecting the top 10 coins, by inflation adjusted market capitalization. The selected coins are then held in proportion to their inflation adjusted market capitalization. Inflation adjusted market capitalization is calculated as follows: (composite price) x (circulating supply + additional supply publicly scheduled for next 5 years).

Composited Price

A coin’s price is derived from real-time data from multiple exchanges. The composite price normalizes these inputs with two techniques:

Trade volume weighted: The price on the exchange with more trade volume has more influence on the composite price.
Inverse price variance weighted: The exchange with the price that deviates more from the prices of the other exchanges has less influence on the composite price.

Supply & Inflation Adjustment

Circulating supply is the best approximation of the number of coins available to public investors. It is derived by taking the total number of existing coins from the blockchain and subtracting the number of coins verifiably burned, locked, or reserved (for example, by a foundation). Public blockchain explorers are used to monitor corresponding blockchains when available. If not, our own node is run. In addition to circulating supply, the index incorporates supply inflation that is publicly known to the market. This is important beause different protocols have different supply regimes (eg inflationary, deflationary, pre-mined). The market is aware of future supply in determining price, but it would not be captured with a market capitalization calculation that relies on only present supply. To that end, the index adds to presently circulating supply, the amount of supply expected to be added over the next 5 years.

Eligibility Criteria

Cryptocurrencies should meet the following additional criteria to be included in the index:

Actively traded on multiple recognized exchanges.
Monthly trade volume exceeding 30% of circulating supply for the past 3 months.
Free floating price. The price should not be pegged to fiat currencies or similar assets.

Data Source Selection

Data is essential to our index. It is important to cover as much market activity as possible, while not sacrificing the quality and credibility of the data we incorporate. The index committee evaluates the following criteria to determine if the index should recognize an exchange and include as a data source:
USD and BTC trade volume for the coins in our index.
Restrictions on deposits and withdrawals of bitcoin and fiat currencies.
Quality and reliability of real-time price and trade volume API.
Compliance with relevant regulations.

i do not care if it pumps like crazy or dumps like sh.t
i just trust in this coin.that may be the only coin that has a future.
they r in my wallet for at least 4-5 years.not even checking the price.

You must have a lot considering I got thousands of XRP just when I bought it when the price was still less than $0.10. If you have bought them 4 years ago then buying XRP with just $100 will give you more than 10k. Good luck with your investment. I'm also one of the hopeful, if price goes a $1 each, I would be buying myself a trip to Thailand.

i am speaked with SLOVAKIA UniCredit Bank employees in my cities: they want implement ripple in 100% .. i didnt trust this, when i saw UniCredit Bank on list of banks ....

XRP is best potencial in future  Wink
thank for this information. Maybe I will keep hold my ripple. Didn't sell any coin when price at 0.45$.... nah.
well if you can wait then this project might work for you a lots of swing trade and big holders are enjoying the situation as they just needed to
wait for the value to rise and for more updates regarding to progress of this project.
Literary I didn't see there any hope over XRP. XRP was overhyped couple months, back now no one is touching XRP. Thus, Many one says, Ripple is a long term project and solves real time issues of inter bank transactions, and their speed is excellent. Let's see what happen.
$82,131,300 today. around 80-100 million$ volume everyday. still better than 99% coin out there.

XRP is going to reach 1$ in the month of the December. Right now there are positive things happening around the XRP blockchain because the team wants to adopt as many banks as possible through the world. Maybe in this month or next, they are targeting the Asian country.

Hi,
Why Korea is the country where there is more speculation about the XRP?
To my knowledge the xrp coin is still not used by banks. I only see week after week commercial agreements between ripple and banks but I don't see any progress regarding the use of XRP.
Do you think that will change in the near future?

I am still holding XRP for long term and I am buying whenever I have some spare BTC. 4500 satoshis is a very good price to get in.

me too. I rarely come to this thread now as the fudsters keep repeating the same shit already debunked 100 pages ago. Right now is a good time to buy, but most wont realize that. ive been around crypto for a long time and fudsters have always been present. I was told that my btc was useless and i should sell at 5$, $200 $500 $2000 and still fud. I respect intelligent debate and opinions but most of the fud here is from people who know nothing about the subject.... just posting to farm an account.

Swift is working on their own blockchain tech, called Hyperledger. They already have major banks like Wells Fargo and BNP onboard with their proof of concept.
https://www.coindesk.com/swift-selects-hyperledger-tech-cross-border-blockchain-test/
Swift intends to develop their own blockchain tech, then use Chainlink decentralized oracles to provide input to the smart contracts. These are not hypothetical, they have been in the works for years. You are right that Swift and Ripple dislike each other, and are going at each other's throats. However, Chainlink tech does not begin nor end with Swift and the finance industry - they are about linking smart contracts with traditional data sources in general, no matter what industry.
No one knows who will come out on top re: Swift vs. ripple. Conversely, I can say that if Swift succeeds, it's bye-bye for ripple. I would give a bit more credit to Swift
Ripple already has working partnerships with banks and thats a huge boost for Ripple to succeed. Other banks will be forced to follow whats already proven working.
ya ripple have best blockchain now. they can handle many transaction. if you dont belive you can try ddos their network by sending many transaction. the only thing I dont like about ripple is it not decentralized

Read your post again and answer me this,
What does hyperledger?
What does ripple?
What does chainlink?
Ever heard of interoperability in ripple Wink?

If Swift didn't start with blockchain technology they would be the next blackberry when the iphone first came out. Ripple however tends to first take on the asian market and from there take over the world. I am just interested in the upcoming event to see which banks are working with ripple. It will be a race between ripple and swift.
