So ah Anybody can tell me which desktop client they use to store their ripples? Just bought some of them.

Both have worked well for me. just make sure your computer is not infected and safe , and also never share private/secret key with anybody and keep a few copies here and there ( backup). that's all you need, you dont need to sync any blocks, burn lots of cpu nothing... all your assets will remain safe on RCL public ledger
Also, you can wait for May end ledger nano and ledger blue cold hardware wallets too, they will also support ripple.
