I think people start to buy top coinmarketcap coins. Maybe it will followed with others too. Not really know deep about XRP, but i just know XRP had a lot of supporters both on it's developer and it's community. 
Indeed there are no decentralization advantages on XRP but it can be a profitable type of investment considering the latest bull run facts on the Ripple price. Don't make a fool dreams with the words of bankers and they are biggest liers of the history.
XRP is one of the biggest project in this market. It is a money transfer and banking related token. At this moment it is the third biggest crypto as per market cap. Everything is fine but the main problem with XRP is it is backed by banks and it is fully centralised. That's why most of the people don't like it. But if you see it is as a project then it's one of the finest project in the market. It is one of the most developed project available. And it's almost published everything as promised. They already partner up with many banks. So let's see what happen in future. But if more banks and general people start to use XRP it gonna have a great future.

I guess there was an influx of new money and demand from NY which caused the massive spike in the price. Might be a good time to cash out some profits, I mean, its value increased in both USD and satoshi levels, you'd be crazy not to enjoy those massive gains.

Based on the comment section under the XRP tweet, it looks like there was really a huge demand before it became available to the people in New York. Plus theres still a lot of demand from different countries. It looks like XRP has still a lot of room for another price surge. It will potentially replace ETH on its current price.

They have to keep on the track field and XRP have to follow btc and eth, there’s no news about this coin so it can be a manipulation or the whales is pumping this coin to make money. If the top coins was able to go up high, then bull trend is confirm.
