Hi Spectre Team

Given you focus on anonymity, why not follow Zcoin example and try to get listed on BTC38 asap.

Chinese market values anonymity a lot, so thats a great opportunity to grow market cap and drive up the price, making xspec more attractive for wider adoption...

Windows wallet version does not sync. Has NOT been syncing since Mid March. Somebody tell Me when an update is due out OR what addnodes I can use. I am an ICO buyer. I've been with this project since last year. I need help on this issue.

Check into the #support channel on Slack. If you are an ICO buyer, you will also be able to get invited into the channel for ICO investors.

A color is fine, but in this dark coin, the rainbow shines by its absence.

Do we have our own forum besides the slack channel?

Don't think so, but would be nice to get one with the website makeover.

Spectre.Cash / Spectre.Wallet update

We have completed the first stage of building a Spectrecoin Android wallet and will be releasing the beta in the next few days.
This is a full wallet, i.e. it connects through Tor and has all the anonymity features of the desktop wallet but with a simple user interface.
Staking has been disabled in the Android version but may come as an option if there is any need for this.

This is the first stage of the process to develop the full Spectre.Cash app. Once we have released the Spectre.Wallet beta and we get some feedback we can start work on the more advanced functions of the Spectre.Cash app.
Further details on release of the beta Spectre.Wallet for Android.

Livecoin
XSPEC will launch on Livecoin.net this week. Livecoin is currently setting up the wallet and testing. I will announce here and on the Slack channel as soon as we listed and ready for trade.

it would be more useful if android wallet is able to staking when it is released.

yes of course because andriod has so great  function so its value can not be denied.

having issues downloading the wallet on a windows, is there a guide?

The Windows wallet is linked in the first post if I'm not mistaken. Here is the guide: 1. Click on the link. 2. Wait for the download to finish. 3. Done.

The top 10 wallets own nearly 50% of coins http://prntscr.com/erbqv0

Was this premined?

If not, can someone point me in the direction of other distribution info?

There was an ICO and not so much interest but we had little choice given the circumstances but to distribute to the investors as opposed to 're-start' the whole process. The wider distribution will come with time so this may be a slow burner but there is enough on offer for it to spread.
Curious. What was the ICO price?

ICO price was about 83 sat. Can we finally put this in the OP please?

How different is this with bitcoin plus by the way as it also have the TOR integration. I just learned about them being the same with XSPEC.

A "PR push" with your current devs is a laugh.  PR with what?  Those graphics?

You won't even do a simple website update to correct your wallet lies or spell words right, as someone pointed out on the Slack recently.

Dump this trash now while it is up, these people are con artists.

"Parallel to this we have identified a range of updates we need to do in the code re. the Tor integration. Once that has been done we can focus on getting the first version of XSPEC Android out. After some discussion it was decided to wait for a code update and Windows build before releasing the first Android app."

So, you lied.  And the website still has a past deadline.  Congratulations, great work!

Update

Providing a static / standalone spectrecoin.exe for Windows has proved quite difficult, but I am happy to say that we are very close to a solution. There has been a lot of work on this aspect of the project recently so that we can easily build future Windows versions. We have now managed to do a static build of Qt so we are working on the rest of the dependencies so hopefully we should have a new version in 2-3 days. Sorry about the delay...

Progress overview:
1. [done] Configure Windows environments
2. [done] Compile Qt 5.8 statically (x32/x64)
3. [done] Compile ICU statically (x32/x64)
4. [done] Compile OpenSSL (x32/x64)
5. [to-do] Build all the other dependencies from project sources (boost, libevent, etc.).
6. [to-do] Compile the spectrecoin.exe (x32/x64)

So, as you can tell, we will deliver x32 and x64 versions of spectrecoin.exe so that we cater for all Windows users.

Parallel to this we have identified a range of updates we need to do in the code re. the Tor integration. Once that has been done we can focus on getting the first version of XSPEC Android out. After some discussion it was decided to wait for a code update and Windows build before releasing the first Android app.

We are also planning a PR push in the wake of the new versions once they are out.

Great news! Really looking forward to the new wallet.

As right now Xspec is so cheap and marketcap is so low, so there are huge room to grow

Yep. Cool A market cap of 20M would not be too much for a project like this, and that's 40 times the current price ... Cheesy  So BUY NOW as long as you can, lol.

I was thinking a market cap of $40M doesn't seem unlikely in the not too distant future, all things considered.  Cool

we should try and get xspec on bittrex
If im not mistaken dev already talked/plan(couldnt remember) to talk with bittrex, but they are waiting for windows wallet to finish.

no rush please still accumulating  Wink
You better moving fast with accumulation as coinfest is just around the corner Tongue Roll Eyes
And with SDC gone, with continued development, i am xspecting XSPEC taking SDC place.

I thought there were so much success with SDC actually. I grew more than $2 earlier this year because of the Umbra wallet.
It didn't turned out well. I was outdated with their development but watched them for a long time. How soon is XSPEC going to moon over them?
The thing is SDC is rebranded to Particl, and there will be no future development with SDC. There are swap from SDC to Particl tho. So if Xspec deliver and continue their development, they def have potential to take SDC place, or atleast get close to it. As right now Xspec is so cheap and marketcap is so low, so there are huge room to grow

I did really well with SDC, but the new Particl project is completely the opposite of the original SDC mission. I think when investors see how watered down the new project is, they will realize there isn't much point. It seems more like a PR/marketing scheme than anything else. I could be wrong, but the way they did it and how it impacted investors so drastically and giving them little choice made it feel like a real screw job. Especially after I had just convinced some of my friends to invest...

It seems the Spectre team had the right idea just at the right time.
