I´m very excited at the moment about the huge announcement, which is coming in the next few hours. I have no clue what this can be. Are there any rumors about the partnership?

It was stated that they would charge higher fees to some of the transactions and he believed it would benefit the miners.
So my question is:
If Verge has a Max of 16,555,000,000 coins and currently has 14,779,045,946 circulating, how can they continue to mine once it hits the max?
Would they have to add more coins to the max, but wouldn't that most likely lower the value of the coin?

I tried compiling the latest wallet again, deleting wallet.dat creating a totally new wallet, adding more threads in the conf.
Nothing helps.
