Hello, anyone experiencing problems with the electrum wallet? It says "not connected" and I'm not able to do anything. Tried to change ports, checked firewall settings, etc. Any idea what to do?

WOW Verge is being voted to be listed on Binance that is great news, I’ll give my vote for sure! It’s a while I’m following this coin and every day I feel more confident of its great potential. I see the fact of not being to much publicized as a good thing, at least the coin can evolve without too many trolls criticizing it at every turn.

Keep up the good work Dev!

This should help you. Verge and Doge are both Script coins and share a common root. Verge includes many other algorithms as well. You would do much better to buy a miner to get some real hash going on it, very profitable right now although I haven't seen a block all day!  Grin

and here for Script mining

Hi, i've been a silent watcher for quite some time now because I didn't want to get involved too much. But here I am Smiley.
First of all, thank you for this! At first I only wanted to buy, hold, support etc; but since I got really exited about Verge; I want to try out some mining myself and get some experience in this too. Downside, I have zero experience in it so this could help me out a lot.
So, noob question; with just a random spare laptop, what will I be able to mine on a daily basis?

Furthermore, as I said i'm really positive regarding Verge and I will for sure support this coin. So
@Dev: do you need some support from the Dutch side for anything?

Overall: I can understand that you see lots of posts from people with less posts as Troll, but reacting like that will cause that less people create an account because nobody will take them serious just due to a rank. Dont get me wrong, i'm not here to troll just share my opinion.

Thanks in advance, and lets bring Verge to the moon Smiley.

Agreed Verge is highly undervalued. As soon as the roadmap is complted within this week or so and we go live on binance and hitbtc. I believe we are going places. HODL

Dear XVG Community. Another important vote. Start to register on binance.com and be ready !!!

I am ready to give my vote to XVG on Binance. Binance is great.
Do we know what XVG will be up "against" in the vote there?

I think binance is way better than HITBTC. We must take this... Wink

It looks like XVG / Verge is making a comeback again. I would say Verge is still undervalued it is because the features of this altcoin is focusing more on security and privacy of transaction.

But, as far I can see a lot of altcoin is focusing more on the anonymity of user's transaction.

yes, i know, i read an upcoming article about that board (and a few others)   with various changes.

all to support Crypto Smiley

minimum...hm really anything helps.  just make sure your not costing yourself too much, is the real factor.

ie: now is a good time for me to buy a Asic for even if all the prices hit bottom, im able to mine and use the heat for winter.

the snow flies soon here :0

March/april i start stopping my mining, as its time to turn on the AC lol

(and i hope to break even on anything i bought by then.)

Which asic? I looked at an L3+, but now they are $2kUSD and there's a wait, seems highly speculative and maybe just stick the money into the coin?
Thats exactly what i have coming.   its way smarter to put the money into the coin at the right time.

Mining is an overall loss.  if you go into it expecting to make money, you screwed up.

(unless you are big enough to get alot of units, and get em right away, instead of waiting)

i got in at a lower price point, which helps me.    (i should be getting mine any time in the next couple weeks.)

Picking the right coin is a big part of making any profit and, realizing that short term, it will cost as much or more than you will make on a lot of coins and miner combination. But, to win at the mining game, choose coins with a good return but with an excellent chance of appreciating in the long run and hold them. Verge is a good one for this strategy and the current one I'm mining. So far, i'm coming out on top. That's the fun part....

Something about that board was bad tho... might want to wait til they fix the issue.  ...now what was it...

i think it was about the bus.  (ie: the bus that connects all of those slots to the correct place) was still the same size....  (i read to many things)

it could have been heat for all i recall ...but i think the bus was the issue...anyhow...

look at that before buying/investing too much :0

The one I speak of hasn't been released yet, but that is a concern. Either way, what would be a minimum kH/s to put towards the efforts of the coin even just to support it?

Can someone provide some easy step by step instructions to mining Verge on a CPU? Is that even possible? I have a spare laptop that I'd love to put to use to mining this coin. I already own 300K and I'd like to add to that number.

This should help you. Verge and Doge are both Script coins and share a common root. You would do much better to buy a miner to get some real hash going on it, very profitable right now although I haven't seen a block all day!  Grin

Thank you I'm about to build a rig for fun and if I can mine a profitable coin, all the better.

Verge has the highest return per hash right now using Script. What people don't realize is that you don't have to mine and sell, you can mine and hold. With the way Verge is gaining value, holding would seem the intelligent way to make real money.
There's a board asus is bringing with 19x PCIe slots that is just too silly to not build out. I'm not sure if it will be profitable but I plan to hold anything mined.

Verge is multi algo. And it is profitable being mined on gpu in X17(more) or lyra2r2(less).

Sounds good! I updated my post to include the mining page on the Verge website. Im kind of partial to Script since I use Script miners but, there are many algorithms available, some better suited to laptops.
