Coins with transparent ledger cant be privacy coins no matter what people tells you on the internet. Open some verge blockchain explorer and check it for yourself. You can see exactly how many coins is on each wallet and where they come from, just like with Bitcoin.

XVG is not really a privacy coin..

It's almost entirely traceable over the blockchain.

RingCT would fix this, it's on the roadmap..

Just after the announcement the price dropped, went up a bit and dropped again. People were confused and at first many were very negative. The deal itself is a milestone for crypto, but far from perfect of course

I believe this coin will keep living even after very long time in development. It is one of the best anon altcoins in the market. My only concern is its' cap. Too high to hold for short term investors. But still I plan to buy this one coin.

Verge takes a not good step in the partnership, of course, this will be detrimental to them, this adds not good reputation on their portfolio, investors will not want to take a high risk speculation for coins that don't have good potential, because when the market having a price correction, coins like this will get fall dip usually.

The situation around VERGE is very incomprehensible to me. But I do not want to risk my money any more, so I decided to sell it out. It seems to me that now it is a reasonable choice for those people who had this coin in portfolio.

You know, perhaps I underestimated some of the newcomers and investors of some coins. I'd always taken you Verge guys to be just part of the shill machine. But judging from the majority of comments even from holders, I'm actually quite surprised to say that a lot of you actually were disappointed in this massive backfiring of a partnership. Maybe you're not all the sheep XVG devs are taking you to be after all.

P.S. Sold everything except 100 XVG. Who knows?

Yes, incredibly surprising. But to be fair, the prices really did jump for a while. I mean, I managed to sell above 1k sats AFTER reading the news, I guess holders just needed time to process and digest the news, and then they found out their stomachs did not really enjoy the flavors of porn. Porn is a big industry I agree. But do you really want your major userbase to be associated with the adult industry? What happened to ideologies of privacy coins? Is it that we need to hide? No,,,

That's because the news were already priced in since their pre announcement plus early leak of pornhub. This is still pretty amazing although people hold a grudge against verge, pornhub accepting it as payment is huge. At the end of the day there are plenty of other shit coins that have no partnerships, no working product and still are top 100

What happened is only good that leaked announcement has already gain high price and there's too much hype with that until the time that they announce it starts selling the news and until this time xvg still was dumping. I know that many where disappointed on this partnership but at least they have used. Soon it will be used not only in pornsites.

Buy the rumors, sell the news. It's a classic saying in trading and it's usually true. I don't think real verge holders were disappointed, it's great news really and I don't even have verge but seeing all this hate for them made me interested. Probably a lot of people bought it with the idea to dump it before or right after the announcement was made public.

This is exactly what I did.. It's a very easy way to pick up some extra coins. Just sell the day before the news. Then buy back in a few days/week later. I'm already +30% on my investment. Increased my holdings in xvg by almost 1/3. Completely free and easy coins. Did this back in December on New Years as well. That one worked out really well for me.

People thought Amazon (stupids) and they got Pornhub well if coin will be adopted on pornsites coin will stay alive and there is another possible growth.Atleast it looks like that Verge is not exit scam but yes it very controversial.
