Even though Turkish local board is the second biggest local board in the forum we don't have active merit sources as other local boards. Some sources became inactive and some sources left by their own will and there were no replacement happened.
There isn't any active merit source application in Turkish local board besides this one. Xzone would be a great fit to be the new merit source. I hope theymos will consider this request as well as others when he decides to assign new merit sources.

In these days there are a lot of merit source applications mostly in this year and they are coupled with the ones last year and till now there is no response from the admin to know thy will be accepted or not. The whole stuff became a muted shadow that has created tension for the applicants and suspend the forum participants (users). But the way I look at it, all will be a surprise package for them as he normally do for other things in the past years.
Merit Source Applicants should not give up their hope yet because the silent of theymos will give a positive answer at the end. So keep praying for your application to be approved. And apart from the op write ups which I understand, but I could not understand the ten posts selected by the op to be a merit source something else. I could not understand any except the pictures. Well it is a nice application. Wish you the op all the best.

The last bump from the OP was ten days ago, so it is safe to say they are still interested in being merit sources now. We can assume that users are still interested until they denounce their application.Theymos is keeping anyone in the dark about what he plans to do with all the merit applications that have been made from many reputable members. I really hope that more users gets added soon to supplement the work done by the existing sources.

By the way, I don't remember seeing those pics of that BTC-related shop or shops when this was originally posted, even though I wrote a comment shortly thereafter. Those are cool!

Looks like this thread just got ignored with all the others, and I find that unfortunate. Nobody knows what's going on with the current merit sources, and Theymos isn't dropping any data or thoughts on the community either. Good luck again, OP?
There have been quite a number of applications now on merit source and all we hope is to see a quick consideration on them anytime soon, it's also good that you bumped the thread to also serve as a reminder along with other recent applications, i will suggest maybe at this point that you also look around the forum to update the thread with some recent post you think are worth deserving enough merits, i wish you among other applicants success while waiting for positive response.
There is definitely a need for another one source of merit in the Turkish local board. I think an additional source of merit would be very beneficial for our local community.

There are not many applications from our local forum, unfortunately, the merit resources are also insufficient. xzone user has been an active member of the forum for a long time, and is one of the important members for the local section with content on online and inclusive topics. I support your application, I hope your application will be positive and you become a source of merit. The final result and discretion is purely Theymos's time to examine and come to a conclusion.

Some merit application supposed to be granted because of the reasons the portray while they want to be a merit sources, so I seen a cogent reason here while you need to be a merit sources, helping local board is very important because their some users who base on local discussions and they don't like to participate in English board before everyone will notice their kind of quality discussions, I don't like people as well to discouraged application of been a merit sources because that merit will circulate in the forum basically.so therefore I'm in the support of your application but the problem is that we have received or we seen up to twenty five to thirty applications of merit sources if I'm not mistaken from last year till date who applied for a merit sources but none has been approved, but I believe one day some shall be granted by theymos.
Let it not be too funny that I never came across this profile being active in Bitcoin discussion section or any other sections other than your locals board. There are lots of application pending and waiting for approval from Theymos and I know isn't that easy to quickly gets approved but one thing I will assure you is that if Theymos reviewed every application he may decides to fill up those area he thinks are lacking more merits source and if yours falls into categories then he don't mind chosen you to fill up your locals as well

You're right, the problem is that theymos haven't added anyone so far to the merit source list and the number is still 111 people. I also thought the same about other users' merit source applications before because maybe they also haven't been accepted as merit sources so far.However I hope the OP's efforts are not in vain although he takes some time to hope theymos can consider the application. So far some of the merit he's received in this thread seem to be helping him get sMerit, so it's bound to help some. OP, good luck.

I have not come across your profile before.
There are many unsung heroes in local boards who are yet to discover. Not many people like to spend time in general boards but feel comfortable to use their local language. 
Go for it, OP. I have no idea what's going on in the Turkish section (other than what you and others have said), but my impression has been that it's an extremely tight-knit community. Though some of the members I've interacted with in the past have been absolute bastards, that doesn't mean I don't respect their passion for bitcoin or that the section doesn't need more merits circulating in it.

We can see bastards in every community but it wouldn't be fair to accuse and punish the whole community because of this.The economic problems that Turkey are having have directed people to different investment tools. Cryptocurrencies are at the top of this list.One of the most important reasons why the Turkish local board is quite active compared to other local boards is that the economic problems that are experienced with a young population.It is really obvious that there is a deficiency about merit source in Turkish local community. It is really valuable that xzone is taking a responsibility and applying for being a merit source. I hope that Theymos can evaluate this application as positive and he can help the Turkish local community develop more.

While it's true that Turkish local board is among the most merited ones (usually 2nd or 3rd most merited local board), you also have to take into consideration amount of posts written in Turkish local board which is also very high. When you calculate merit/post ratio, it turns out that Turkish board definitely has room for another merit source (not going into quality of posts there, speaking purely about the numbers).
Below you can see local boards merit/post ratio chart for April 2022 (May overview should be out in a couple of days) and you can notice that Turkish board has below average numbers when compared with other local boards (both April and last 12 months), and numbers for May will be even lower so I am not surprised that @xzone applied for a merit source position.
I know that there is always room to be a merit source in sections that have a high number of posts such as the local board of Turkey, Russia and some other board. I don't know why the OP would want to apply to be a merit source, although it's possible that the data you provided was one of the reasons. What can we say, other than good luck and that we wish you success in your merit source application, the final decision is Theymos' to make, and only him can 'validate' our good lucks sent your way. You will have to be patient, Theymos takes quite a lot of time to make up his mind whether to add new merit sources, but then you are now in the pipeline of pending applications, so hopefully someday it could be granted. As a member of the forum who applied for merit source for the same reason as you, so that I can support more my local community in this forum, I support your application.
Of course, I do not follow the Turkish part of this forum, but according to statistics from Rikafip, it's obvious that an additional merit source would be very useful for your local section.
A new merit sources has recently been selected, as far as I can remember, so you'll probably have to wait a while for an admin response, but I have no doubt you'll eventually be accepted

But local merit sources are always welcome as they encourage discussions in the local section which is very vital for the forum as a whole.
You are also active in giving merits in your local board, which makes a good fit for the job. Hopefully Theymos considers adding new sources anytime soon as there are some pending applications. All in due time.

Another interesting view that I find is that shown on the Sent Merit chart, selecting on the left the top senders. Some will likely be Merit Sources, some not, but it gives us an alternative bird’s eye view on any abrupt change of trends (for whatever the reason) for those that have more weight in Merit distribution on the board. This could (or not) have an impact on the Merit/post ratio, besides content itself.
