I feel you mate.
You can kinda say that you have found a block, but in a parallel universe)
How much did you spent on your lottery?
About .4 BTC for a 750T 24 hour rental.
$480 a day is an awful expensive lottery buy-in.  Undecided

So I recently set up my new Antminer S5 to start solo mining here. I don't have this connected to my PC as it's at my shop. My question is how do I know if it's found a block so   I know not to unplug it or something... I've been mining for only a couple weeks at Slushpool so I'm still learning lol.

You can also run this on your phone, and keep an ear out for notifications:  https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ckpool-stats-iphone-app-1344360

1. You will notice the additional 12.5 +. BTC on your wallet.
2. Check the FoundBlocks at the miner status page.

Does solo.ckpool work with usb asic with 8 suggested difficulty ?
An Antminer R1 is running with diff 4 on solo pool
Nice to know that
But when i connect it shows diff 4000

--suggest-diff 8

It will switch to 8 as soon as it can with that. Otherwise, just wait and eventually the diff will adjust down anyway.

I'll be upgrading the DE server in the near future to a more powerful dedicated one. It will still be located in DE and the server details won't change for any of you. Those mining on there should be redirected seamlessly without needing to do anything. I'll give notice once this process is complete.
All DE miners have been migrated to the new server seamlessly; it appears no miners were lost or had any downtime in the transfer. The new server is substantially more powerful than the old one, with equivalent performance to the main solo pool. Miners will not notice any difference, but this is to further minimise block change latencies and risk of orphans being produced. Additionally this server has DDoS protection as the main pool server does. You may wish to check your ping times since it's in a slightly different location, though they should be very respectable if you're in or near DE.

Thank you for ongoing improving and enhancement of your great services!

Been awhile but looking to rent again and see if I can get my block run again. Christ I would of had 130k if I held on to them.
Oh well.
I'm still using MMR. As I've bee off the scene for a while is there others (except nicehash) for renting and what is the average people have rented that have found recent blocks (Inc ones on kano)?

I think about to mine with some rig rentals, too. Do you have any tips for me?

Cheesy   well, find a block is all I can say, and at it best without any kind of rental.

viel Glück

Dear users mikesw, phongnui, orionberry and cobramining, you are still trying to log in with a regular username instead of a bitcoin address. Your username MUST be a valid bitcoin address to be able to mine here. Note that I've blocked a few IP addresses that are using invalid usernames. If you have confirmed that you have a correct username and are still having trouble connecting, message me your IP address and I'll unblock it.
