Ok guys, what the heck - The guy was joking. Get off his butt.
CK charges a fee. Pay the fee and you're done. Tips are given with a free heart, not because someone pressures you to do it. Tip where you feel led. The end. If CK wanted more money for every block found he'd raise the fee to 5% and since he's the biggest game in town everyone would pay it (as expressed earlier in the thread) and call it good.
But don't jump on the guy for not tipping. Tipping is a gift. Not a tax. It's a PERSONAL choice between CK and the block miner.
I couldn't tell if he was joking or not. Especially with the "WTF" response from CK. If I misunderstood how it was all written then I apologize to both CK and the one who started that section of the conversation. Either way I can also see it as a rubbing it in the face of those of us who haven't hit a block, but now looking at it in different perspectives I guess it can be seen in many different ways. More than anything I'm willing to defend CK just on the fact that the pool has been provided to us and I'm grateful for that alone. I'm sorry to both parties if I saw it in a different light than how it was intended.
I think the problem most users see with this is that it is like winning the bitcoin powerball, four times. That's pretty hard to do. And I believe most people that win the regular US powerball at least donate some money to charity, and family that has helped in their lives.
The only reason we got on this guy is because he is asking for more blocks, without paying back a little extra to -ck. And
it would be nice to see people doing kickbacks to -ck, because he has been providing an almost free service to the community which does cost money over time. Although the pool wallet has funds, we just want to see more people have a little heart so that this project can continue for many years to come. Whether block solving rises or falls on this pool. And rereading your quote about the fees, that's the whole reason why fees get to be low is because the extra income for the pool really helps it have a cushion for the future solo miners.
I'm not trying to bash you, I'm just trying to state the other side of the argument.
Edit: Looks like the original guy retracted his statement.
