Linux since 1997 RedHat 4
-  solo mine with multiple devices to one BTC address
-  solo mine with each device using it's own BTC address

Each of these choices increases your chances because you are mining with more machines.  More machines means more hash means you have a better chance of solving a block.  The address part doesn't matter, but the more machines part does.
Well if he had asked about more hash rate, yes, but he specifically said:

...
Assuming each scenario adds up to the same hash rate mining for the same length of time...
...
So, no, it makes no difference.

Does this pool work with the S1? Yes, it works with all stratum capable bitcoin miners.

The IP address of solo.ckpool.org changes after a DDoS and perhaps these devices almost never look up the IP address using a cached result for ages. In which case a restart might be required, either of cgminer or the whole device.
I have restarted the whole device 3 times (one of those was power off for 20+ minutes) and it still is in failover, I'll see if I can't flush its dns cache or something, thanks.
I had the same bug a couple of weeks back, all I had to do was change the address I was mining to.
I could not locate any sort of dns reset in the S3 interface so I tried changing addresses and the pool was ALIVE again.  I changed back to the old address thinking maybe I had cleared up the issue, but the old address reports the pool as DEAD.  A new solo address for the US node it is then!  Problem solved, thanks.

Added a couple of simple input boxes on the home page that will basically redirect you to the user or worker stats you input into them.

Other then the obvious ~25 BTC that show up in your wallet, Is there a 'found block' message that shows up on the stats page? If not is it possible to add a 'found blocks' statistic on the user/worker stats? for those using an offline wallet as their mining addy?

Otherwise incredible work! My little s1 is rocking away playing the lottery Smiley

Doesn't the S1 have a stats page like the S3? If so, it's there under "foundblocks". If not, then yeah you'd just need to keep an eye on your wallet for the next um....4 years Cheesy
Absolutely it does, but for some reason it shws 10 found blocks in about 50 mins lol so i think the s1's 'found blocks' stats are not working correctly with ckpool. lol, especially since the last found block by ck shows ~2 days ago on blocktrail lol

EDIT
unless Ive somehow magically generated 10 blocks in 50 mins on an s1 lmfao woohoo 250 btc!! lmfao jk
/EDIT
This just means you're NOT mining on solo ckpool, you are mining on some other pool that's mining random shitcoins of very low difficulty.

You would think so however, I only had solo.ckpool in all 3 of my pool setup options. Dont misunderstand... In no way am I saying I pulled 10 blocks... that was a simply joke I had made hence the lmfao. Im just saying my stats arent displaying correctly on MY machine. I have checked my wallet to be 100% sure and it definitely does NOT have 10 blocks worth of btc lol.

heres my stats to verify  http://solo.ckpool.org/users/1G2PTf59cYsWKoZjj3i3Cv1Bb8NuNaeho2

This is raw ultra high performance mining, it's not for cute stats and interfaces

Use:
https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC/pool/solockpool

Thanks.

It would be nice if there was a suggestdiff == currentdiff, so there's almost no communication whatsoever hehehe....
Heh, well there's nothing stopping you from setting to to 1 million or more yourself. Alas there's still a lot of hardware that reports hashrates that don't really correlate with effective hashrate so getting the pool feedback does help them, but if you're sure yours doesn't have this issue then sure, set 1 million and your console and networking will be very quiet Smiley

I came back from a few days away from my machines and noticed that my S3+ was on the German pool, my first fail-over.  None of my other solo miners where failed over and I thought that was odd so I restarted the S3+ and it still pointed to the German pool.  I logged into the miner and it is reporting ck.solo as DEAD.  I know it's not dead because all my stick miners are there just fine.  Nothing has changed in my S3+ setup and everything is set up correctly, just as it has been for the last months I've been solo mining.  Any idea why this machine reports ck.solo as DEAD?

Yeah, there seem to be some kind of connectivity problems, after Ck installed the anti-ddos protection.
My miners are also mining on DE server at the moment.

This is what I get from cgminer:

 cgminer version 3.8.5 - Started: [2016-01-20 00:31:54]

As an aside, is there a reason you are using such an outdated version of cgminer?  4.9.2 is the current release.
