By the way, IPV6 connectivity to solo.ckpool.org is still working. There are still 8 active miners on it Tongue. If you have IPV6 you would have already been connected to it via IPV6 though.

Going to need a contingency plan if this is going to last much longer  Roll Eyes

I'm curious to see your response...can your hosting provider help at all?
Well the easiest thing is just to make the dns for solo point to the de pool but I'd rather not do that. Alternatively I could fire up a solo replacement but then I'd just direct everyone back shortly after which is kinda pointless.

I added de.ckpool.org to my list of miners so it falls over to the backup then put nicehash as t he third.

Silly whoever is DDoSing.

Seems like the pool is still down. Can a DDos prevention service like cloudflare or similar be used to protect the pool?
Who's gonna pay for it with the piddly profit this pool makes? The size of ddos prevention scales according to fee and this attack looks rather big...

Ah ok I understand what you're saying. Hopefully everyone has set your other pools as backups.

Fingers crossed it doesn't continue for long.

I can confirm that the other server is working fine with my set-up.  There is slightly more lag time but I highly doubt it will matter.  I'm just hashing away with a few hundred gh/s.

I'm not accusing them, I was just using it as an example.  There is a huge incentive to disrupt pieces of the BTC network.

We understand, you just opened a can of discontent with them that wasn't closed well anyway. Smiley

Mine at Jonny's Pool
They're also responsible for a fork that happened because of their crap SPV mining practice.

Not if they work for f2pool...4 consecutive blocks in the amount of time it's supposed to take for 1.
That pool just created 100BTC ($43,000+) in TEN MINUTES.

F2pool is Chinese. They have most of the hash on the planet in huge farms. And they confirm their own blocks so they're the cause of a lot of US orphaned blocks as we've seen in the past. IIRC they were also the reason the first orphan happened on CK's pool.
