Or not. But i think - 5 months and 14 days of mining with 8-12PH with no result is not funny (considering the fall off diff in this time about 15%).
I think hard reset is salvation

I have an odd question, what is to stop mining rental services from withholding difficulty solving shares? To keep you renting?
Nothing. It's always been the greatest risk of renting.To be fair I hit 2 blocks in one day at this pool using nicehash. 25 + 25 = 50 btc but btc was only 400 usd at the time.
As to all the rentals I pointed here I most likely am down just a bit.
I also hit 2 blocks on mmpool renting from nicehash.
But I don't rent much and point here. Due to the hack last year.
That times are long gone.
Now with the hacks and the falling price of BTC maybe manipulation is the only way of survive for those renting services...
Sometimes you rent hash on MRR that comes from NH or the other way around, maybe it was rented more than 2times from source to source, who knows... So you can not even proof manipulation...
We are at a diff of more than 400 here, that is not a proof, but we also have more blocks found from unknown sources than ever.

I got 168,408,013 with my new pacs how close?
you need 30321 * 168,408,013 to solve the a block at current difficulty. so not even close, but not bad at all from a 900gh.
current difficulty according to bitcoinwisdom.com = 5,106,422,924,659 , so your share needs to => than that.
but it changes every aprox 14 days, so you check it on the website from time to time.

Has there been any known cases with MRR or NH?
If there was any truly known cases of withholding, people wouldn't take the chance with mining using a rental service. (IMO)
Best way to not find out is to mine using your own machines!
