waiting to see if there is a promotion at yolodice too
milestones like that especially for a relatively new site do mean alot
if you compare yolodice with some... older sites  Roll Eyes ,they have 21+ billions bets
EACH
and counting, they also hold contests each billion bet and it is a very good way to attract more bettors
+ keep the topic at the top,so more bitcointalk users see it and may register to try and win

Online gambling has become a very competitive business and if one wants to survive for long and want to attract more gamblers to the site then they have to come up with some innovative promotions.

The achievement of reaching such number of bets is not the most important thing imho, it does not matter it is fast or slow because the main important thing is the wagered amount. It is useless to have so many billions bets but the wagered amount is lower than the one with less billion bet.

Once if you have more rolls and fast automatically site will make a profit but if rolls are the small amount they may make less profit but more and fast rolls attract many new players to the site.

I Think one reason why most services and exchanges have these fees is because they also want to get reimburshed for the deposits and for the inputs that they will need to batch in the future.

Basically an input always takes more space in a block than an output, hence if too many people send very small amounts to the site. They will need to spend alot to batch those BTC and resend as withdraws.

Sure they can charge a deposit fee, but that would make many people upset. Basically what Bitfinex did with their exchane where they started charging for deposits.

They could also take advantage of the very low fees to consolidate their UTXO set and avoid that problem in the future.

Ethan,

Bitcoin fees have been below 10 satoshis per byte for the past 4 days. Please lower the costs to withdraw, as even the batch withdraw fee is now 10x what it costs to do a typical Bitcoin transaction. For example, my last batch withdraw was sent with 0.000084 BTC in fees, but I was charged 0.00025 BTC, 3 times that. However, there were transactions with much lower fees that were still included in that block. I understand the need to send with a conservative fee estimate to make sure that transactions confirm but the amount you're charging is too much right now.

Here is an image of the mempool over the past 4 days. The red bar is 5 satoshis per byte, and transactions lower than that are confirming right now. The one above it is 10 satoshis per byte.

I will ask him about this on Monday when he comes back online Smiley

We're getting really close to YD's first 1 Billion bets!  Only ~150 Million to go!  Woo!

Based on this thread opening date site opened in Nov 2016 means it almost took one year and few months reach first billion bets.

Reaching one billion rolls will be a good achievement for a dice site.

Anyone knows which dice site took less time to reach first billion rolls?

Still 150 millions to go, I hope there will be interesting promo to celebrate this achievement. Although it is not that special achievement (at least for me) but it is always great to celebrate any achievements.

Will there be a competition for this to get to 1 billion bets soon?
From what I remember after the last one was done, ethan came into chat and said there was going to an other competition coming soon but gave no solid date on when it was going to start.

I think that would be a good theme for the next competition. Smiley
Wouldn't you agree. Undecided

I wanted to display LTC stats first on my profile, maybe put an option for that in settings?

But there are already two two buttons to show BTC/LTC stats. Making a particular Currency as default can be good idea though. Let's see what Ethan says..
I believe it saves your settings for the default one that is last played.
They have a current game stats and a "reset button" for those statistics when you want to start at 0 for the current session.
And you can get the game stats for overall statistics by choosing that option as well from the same screen.
I did notice when I leave and come back after a while off the site, by last betting option of either btc or ltc stays that way for my current session.
Don't know if it does that when you revert back to the overall stats though.

OP you need to edit your first page, link of images are broken. Also I think that short biography is new thing in this thread, thanks for sharing that and not lying like others which claim to be team with a lot of members but in reality there are only 1-2 man behind everything.
Also you have very good wagering competitions, congrats to winners.

Edit
Seems I see this right now or it didn't pay my attention.
And since you had same problem, just upload images on different website, for example on imgur.
And is this our yahoo?

Yes of course this is everyone yahoo which really well-known on many gambling sites, he is really big player for current btc price which is really high. To be on 1st winner on ltc coin, I just curious about his losing, or is he get profit wagering here? Because it is not really worth when you wagered a lot yet you lose most of your coin around

You can check yahoo's stats, as per my own research it is still as his last stats when the contest finished. He is in green when it is finished, but I'll let you to check his stast to know the exact amount of his profit. Worth or not depends on the players and their strategy and of course "luck". I believe yahoo has his own strategy to minimize losing, as I remember he was down a lot but he was able to take it back on the last few days.
I think you were looking at that players statistics for the bitcoin side of the site because during the competition he below 28ltc from what I remember and that showed in red. You need to click on the "LTC" symbol of the stats sheet to see those statistics
The green was the bitcoin in which he won from a single roll to win some whole amounts in bitcoin before the LTC competition even started.

Ouch that's my bad then, I thought it was LTC by default because I clicked it directly from the leaderboard of the LTC wagering comp. Will check it again later to make me sure about his stats. I also remember he was in red when in the middle of the comp (that time I clicked directly from the leaderboard and I'm sure it was on the LTC side).
