Does anyone else have an issue with the faucet lately?
Everytime I try it and click on the correct pictures to complete the capatcha it marks it as wrong and just keeps cycling the pictures endlessly. Have tried it 30 times at the very least in a row but nothing.
It use to work but not now. Is it just for me?
I have successfully claimed on faucet with just 1 try, i think problem is with your browser. Just reload page and if it still don't work, clear browser cache and login again.

I also got stuck, while claiming the faucet. But after few mins., I tried again and now its working just fine.

Try to restart your browser, though my issue was different. But it might work.

Making a multi-currency site adds a lot of complexity, I decided to stick to one coin. Bitcoin was a pretty obvious choice. Maybe in the future we will re-consider adding other currencies too. But from what I can see, even on multi-currency sites, the vast majority of wagered is still in BTC.
I can't agree on this ethan, look at duckdice they are pretty new and supports multiple coins. People are also wagering ethereum there which they have added recently, you can check them to figure out how much people are wagering with ethereum.

Personally i like to play with dogecoin due to very low fees on transaction and pretty stable price in terms of USD.

Yes that is true dogecoin is pretty stable but it only worth not even a penny and that is why their traffic is not really good. People keep on buying and gambling it then gone, it can't be profitable as I know. But still if you compare to other coin like ltc and ether it is much worth to gambling worth ether rather than doge

Why still think dogecoin ..?? . Now this is not dogecoin the potential to earn more profit, because it is a transaction or request someone against dogecoin is already low. So it will be much more use of other coin as you say. As you say. But for concerns about the coin which is suitable for use in gambling then the Ethereum bitcoin is an option and also the best. Because the coin because it is very suitable

Nope, the faucet and the captcha is working fine here. Probably something wrong with your browser, you can try clearing cache or use incognito mode. Hope it helps.

20% commission on a 1% house edge is still the best in the market.

I am sure no one will complain. Impressive site so far Smiley

Important announcement regarding investment commissions
We are increasing the investment commission from 10% to 20% on Monday, 3 Apr
(in seven days)
@ethan_nx
I have no problem with you guys increasing commission to 20% as one of YoloDice investors, more so if you are going to reinvest it in growing the site. But as some fellow investors have said, it would be good to stick with this long term and don't change it too frequently. Thanks.

Also, a little feature request - may you please add some automated method to request current investments list, P/L (site bankroll + per investment) per account ? Either via API call or e.g. request hashed per account URL with e.g. JSON response. So your investors can easily check P/L on their invesment without the need to clicking/logging in to the site. Thanks for considering this.

As for altcoins - imo - don't do it, the probable volume is simply not worth the time of implementing it & pose a potential security risks for whole site.

Anyway, let me wish all the best to you guys & to YoloDice!

Right now its a very bad time to bet with altcoins however because of what is going on with the price of Bitcoin. Due to the entire Segwit and Bitcoin Unlimited mess, all BTC is going into altcoins and altcoins are becoming very expensive.
Yes i agree with you but we can exchange those alt almost instantly using shapeshift or exchanges at current rate so i don't think we may loss anything due to all this pump and dump drama.  Grin

Holding alts is the worst decision.  Grin

Convert bitcoin to altcoin -> Make deposit -> play and win some -> Withdraw those alt to exchange platforms -> Sell them to hold bitcoin.  Wink

I am still not convinced about implementing alcoins. Potentially - it could open YD to new markets, but on the other hand I'd rather concentrate on one currency and if this succeeds - look at altocoins. Right now there are a lot of Bitcoin owners and players we can reach and reaching them seems easier than implementing altocoins and probing new ground. One thing I need to agree with is that Bitcoin starts to suck when it comes to transaction fees and confirmation times.

I am not ruling anything out. Maybe at some point we will not only support altocoins, but also other games. But right now the priority goal is: a good Bitcoin dice site. Once we get there we'll start looking around for sure!

Cheers,
Ethan

But on the other hand it is good to use alt for gambling because they can be seen as tokens for the gambling community and not to use btc which many view as money so would be harder to give up as easily. It is near to the cost of one ounce of gold for 1 btc afterall.

i think this will not stopped gamblers to continue playing gambling, because if they can win on the games, then they can win much of altcoin and if they sell in the market, then they can make big profit. although they are know the risk to losing all of their coins.
We are all here to gamble and no matter what kind of coins we use it does not matter at all, our main purpose is to win and therefore
we should be busy finding a method to win. If you are hesitant to spend your coins because of its greater value then better not gamble
at all, we are not here to invest but we're here to spend so spend what you can afford only.

Hey ethan i had a question let's say i invest in your site at a leverage of 10 and the site profit is as 50 btc and it reaches 100 btc but then it reduces to 80 btc so my investment won't close right it will only close if the site profit becomes 45 btc.

Hi,

you investment would survive it. By looking at the current investment structure I'd say that a x10 investment would close if site profit drops even to -40 BTC.

In general x10 investments can tolerate a drop of 10% of effective balance, which would mean a drop of 100 BTC in site profit would not force closing of investments. Our site profit is pretty stable and the investment structure are pretty healthy, so this rule can be definitely applied.

Cheers,
Ethan
Oh that's pretty good i wished i asked about this before so there is very less chance of investment closing on your site.

Probably you know this, but you can close an investment any time and open a new one, with different leverage.

Cheers,
Ethan

Bitdice is scam scam scammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I will agree that 10% commission is low for a dice site and even 20%, it's still a low fee.
Still, it would be good not to change this percentage again or often.
Any "uprising" change, makes people nervous and worried. Especially when this raise have to do with their invested money...

I will keep my investment on site and i hope that this way is the righr way for your site to grow.
Ofc site grows, funds growing also with it... Cool

Btw, one question : Why you don't accept investments in other coins also? Imho it's also a good and not so used solution...

Maybe you can use some instant exchange API to allow players to deposit any altcoin and play inBTC.
I have nothing against 20% commission it's still pretty low, you are paying one of the highest referral commission rates.
I my opinion any of the 'extra' funds you get can only make YoloDice better.

I was actually wondering how u can make a profit by charging "only" 10% of the profit, but giving away 20% of the house edge to refs. You have the 1 BTC wager contest too.
Good change, Ill keep my investment.
Good communication too Smiley

The answer is easy: me and Scott hold investments too, this gives us extra funds for paying referral bonuses and fund prizes. This does not leave any profit for ourselves, but it's OK for now. One of the businesses I started did not bring any profit for the first 3 years (this was too long actually, but I learned patience and determination does pay off eventually).

Cheers and thanks for your trust! I really appreciate it!
Ethan

Good move - I think increasing the fee in your favor will actually help you build more trust.

If you are running a site and making very little to nothing (and investors make everything), my first thought is this is too good to be true. If you take more of the share it makes others feel slightly better that everyone is winning.

BTW - please get back to me on that email Smiley I have 5 completed now and will be launching pretty soon!
