So I did actually buy stuff with Bitcoin. With personally minted coins. Feels good man.

I bought Counter-Strike from franco, and a Solar Powered Car from littlegood.
Looking to buy more things, but haven't found much of interest just yet. Other than this cute netbook.

Do you have something I want? Use the bear market to do some real trading. Increase consumer spending!  Grin

Yeah, this was to scratch an itch about going through the process of designing and manufacturing something.  And I am a currency trader. It started before the advent of bitcoin.  So, no BTC symbol.

I'm run a linux cloud server where I'm hosting a lot of paying clients so there is no cost in this little project.

It's already discounted for BTC.  Maybe I can also throw in five dice of the next production run with BTC on it.

200 sets to go.  It's not like that's a promise I can't keep.

Sold hundreds of my wares with paypal.  Have yet to score a BTC sale.

I'm not a miner or a speculator.  I am a merchant.

Right now, offering bitcoin payment as an option seems to be a matter of belief in cryptocurrency.  That needs to change into offering bitcoin payment because that is where the money is.

Thanks for accepting bitcoin. Just try and stick with it. Out of curiosity, what are your business's biggest expenses? I think one great way to get more merchants to accept bitcoin is to have what they need available for bitcoin.

Definitely harder on folks selling specialized items.  For things like dice, it's a small crowd to begin with.  And the number of people in that small crowd using Bitcoin is well, probably quite minuscule.

Thanks for offering your products for Bitcoins though.  The more merchants that do it, the more people we can encourage to start using Bitcoin.

Yeah...I think the actual amount of money being spent as opposed to speculated with is pretty minimal...unless you count silk road. (And even then not so much)

Things are slow. People sign up then never sell anything.  Undecided

Yea, bitbid is pretty much dead. Luckily I found Bitmit instead who have a great deal of auctions.

Bitmit is nice but what happened to biddingpond? It has been offline for quite a while.

maybe one of you SEO pros could write a craigslist script to advertise hot items listed on bitmit to get some new users.

bitmit also needs to have a page dedicated to buying bitcoins.  this is what i see holding bitcoin back from large adoption.  if mtgox somehow allowed approved e-commerce websites access to the order book giving customers an easy way to buy bitcoins then users who stumble upon bitmit and wont have to spend a day and a half figuring out how to get btc in the first place.

imagine if a user saw an item of interest and could input his cc details and hit pay.  behind the scenes the cc is used to purchase bitcoins at mtgox and instantly sends btc to the seller.  this would obviously require mtgox to change the way it works which i doubt would ever happen.

Wow, there's actually a lot of stuff listed for sale there now.  Much more than I ever saw at biddingpond.

Probably the biggest problem is feedback.  You have to start somewhat small when selling with 0 feedback, else you'll lose big on the lower prices the items you list sell for.

Also, I love the icons indicating shipping details.  Much clearer than eBay's setup.

I have also successfully sold on Bitmit a radeon x1600 graphics card to be exact. I also have other items listed as well under nayrB16http://bitmit.net/en/trade/i/614-original-xbox/seller_info#

If I win the XBOX, will you be willing to destroy it in whatever way, while recording it? (I want the video Cheesy)
