I'm not so sure about us humans being able to detect pheromones. I'm not disputing we don't emit them, but our sense of smell just isn't sophisticated or sensitive enough. Maybe we lost the ability somewhere down the evolutionary ladder though.

Most would believe this. But it seems Nature does not, as procreation is the main purpose of Life.

An argument against these smell theories is the ubiquitous nature of visual representations of sexuality for humans - everywhere, every form of media.  We see and hear other humans.

By contrast a dog, seeing an image of a dog on a television or such, basically does not see a dog.  Dogs smell and hear other dogs as opposed to seeing them.

Maybe it was Nature's answer for the blinds to get laid?  Smiley
