Interesting method of valuation. Probably super accurate

well we cant just...well i guess you can, but i cant just sit there and go ok i have so many k in this and hell if i know if it is going up or down. no I look at a situation or a set of variables, i input some lowball....(maybe they are high ... way high i dont know for sure) numbers and try to evaluate what could happen in a logical preceptive way.

but there is a 90 % chance they will be worth 12.62 tommorrow at 1pm in each of the timezones. sure is possible and a little probable but possibly playable in the portrayal of patterns in perfect paralleled persuasive passion of punky prickly protagonists on the psychologically proven profitable bitcoin pspeculators forum. putrid pungent packrats that protrude pleasantly past post moderators.

ok so some say that it doesnt matter that the thing aired to million and millions of people over in china, and everyone who is gunna buy bitcoins has allready...

well i know this is a small sample size but i live in a huge city and was at a medium-large party (about 60-80 people) outside where most were i got the currage...half drunk.....and got everyones attention. i said " ok please raise your hand if you have ever herd of bitcoin"...........I hear from the crowd.........."big loin?".... "bite coin?"...."it corn"??    " no everyone i said has anyone here herd of BITCOIN!?!? three people raised there hand. 1)my friend who has some,2) my girl.... cuz i wont shut up about them....and 3)one other person..... one! he know almost nothing about them and thought they were some kind of scam. but later i had about fifteen people surrounding me asking me about BTC and i told them what i new and told them to look it up.  THEY ALL WANTED TO INVEST, they loved the idea and thought that they could risk a few hundred for some big gains.

this is a small version of what is going to happen in china. a percentage .... maybe  even just one%...will buy bitcoins....maybe just one..... and that math is 28-46m viewers one % of that is 28,000 they buy just one coin each. (this is so fucking low ball!!) and that is 28,000,000 yep 28million worth. so now i ask what are the implications of 28 mill? well lets see... to go from the current state of 107- per bit we would need about 100k usd to go to 120. imagine what 28 mill ( again verry low ball) would do to it. in two weeks im calling above 200. call me crazy but i just purchased a lot lot more.

I dig your enthusiasm...its exactly what we need in early adopters...and lets face we're ALL early adopters at this point.
I see Bitcoin as a revolution, much like the early days of the Internet before it went mainstream. I remember asking people at parties if they'd heard of the Internet. Only a few had.

I buy up BTC when it hits ~ $50. I'm in it for the long term. Once they appreciate and get past this early volatility rate of 50-150 in a span of a week, it will get critical mass. We are nowhere near that yet, but I'm hopeful.

I think your right, except for some big problems

- easy to have them stolen, Ive read lots of people who had viruses on their android phone take their coins

- no "banks" yet to solve above problem, most people want to feel their money is INSURED ie FDIC

- value changes all the time, from 250 to 50 in the last month, and back again?

- if a flaw was found in bitcoin, it would all become worthless overnight

so that is why price today is $120 and not $10,000 ....  the solution = more time

I like your points and agree to all of them, except for the bank part. the point of decentralized is to not have banks and not backed by fdic. this is a facade you must see past. look at Cyprus for examples.

How is drilling for oil responsible for killing polar bears? im not saying it isn't i just wanna understand the mechanism.

anytime that we release cretin gases in the air like carbon dioxide it has a positive feedback system. a positive feed back system would be like this the sun heats and melts the snow at a slow pase but with polution the snow is not so white so black (even off white) absorbs more heat instead of reflecting back into the atmosphere, then since the surrounding few rocks that are poking out are darker in color absorb more heat more snow melts this creates more patches of snow free areas this in turn makes the snow melt even faster. etc etc etc. or the other way like say it gets cold and its fall and we get out first snow. the next day we have clear skys but its freeeeezing...why? because all the suns rays are being reflected back to space making it colder still so then the next rain/snow storm comes in and its so cold still that you ge tmore snow ans so on and so forth. also the heat from all the engins and machines and coal being burned heats up the earth. also when the earth heats up a little then the perm a frost melts .....under the perm a frost you have methane 50 to 100 times more powerful global warming agent than carbon... also interestingly the half life of methane is carbon. so after 50 years of methane killing the ozone and heating up the earth it turns into carbon the second worst contributer to heating up the earth this lastes for another 150 to 200 years. also we dont see the polutin that we put out for 50 years .... meaning that what we see today is from what polution we put in to the air 50 years ago...in the 1963.  In fact the earth in the normal heating and cooling cycles should be going back to an ice age where the ice would be adventuring every winter. instead we see the poller ice caps melt at unprecedented rates. also we will see (with warmer sees) more mass destruction from weather and hurricanes.

so to answer  your question polar bears are suted and addapted for pur snow and ice coverd seas. if these melt then we will not have polar bears as a species anymore. and we will see them as stuffed atractions like the saber toothed cat and the woolymamoth.

reference from: in getting my BS in Psychology i got a minor in earth science. i have also worked on an oil rig... well a fracking rig and a deep deep BIG rig that goes 4 miles into the earth. huge blow outs of pure gas goes strait into the atmosphere. we are slowly killing the beautiful place we call home.....all for a buck. so sad. thats why i quit .... 36 per hour but my morals are worth more than that. ill work at a zoo or a forest ranger for 8 hr as long as im not contributing to killing our planet home

so

Every positive feedback model that has been around long enough to be tested against the empirical data has been proven false. Yes co2 causes some warming but sorry there are no feedbacks. See the work of David Evans, he has written extensively the feedback amplification its testing against empirical data.

which is unfortunate really, because we could really deal with a bit of global warming. Planet earth has a great deal more landmass that is uninhabitable due to extreme cold than extreme heat, so i higher global temperature would allow for a higher population.

this is so incredibly false i dont know where to begin. lets see most of the earth is coverd in water, the land mass is 60% desert. with higher temps we would have even more droughts. thus less crops thus less people. also 80% of all humans live in costal areas. if all the ice caps melt then we are talking 6+ feet water increase. thus these people must move and again less land and crops to suport lives. imo redneck republican thinking is going to kill the planet but unfortunatly by the time we enlightend taken a class and got a degree type can say "told ya so" it will be to late.

Positive feedback is a process in which the effects of a small disturbance on a system include an increase in the magnitude of the perturbation.[1] That is, A produces more of B which in turn produces more of A.[2] In contrast, a system in which the results of a change act to reduce or counteract it has negative feedback.[1][3]

Mathematically, positive feedback is defined as a positive loop gain around a feedback loop.[1][3] That is, positive feedback is in phase with the input, in the sense that it adds to make the input larger.[4][5] Positive feedback tends to cause system instability. When the loop gain is positive and above 1, there will typically be exponential growth, increasing oscillations or divergences from equilibrium.[3] System parameters will typically accelerate towards extreme values, which may damage or destroy the system, or may end with the system latched into a new stable state. Positive feedback may be controlled by signals in the system being filtered, damped, or limited, or it can be cancelled or reduced by adding negative feedback.

Positive feedback is used in digital electronics to force voltages away from intermediate voltages into '0' and '1' states. On the other hand, thermal runaway is a positive feedback that can destroy semiconductor junctions. Positive feedback in chemical reactions can increase the rate of reactions, and in some cases can lead to explosions. Positive feedback in mechanical design causes tipping-point, or 'over-centre', mechanisms to snap into position, for example in switches and locking pliers. Out of control, it can cause bridges to collapse. Positive feedback in economic systems can cause boom-then-bust cycles. If a PA system's microphone picks up sounds from its own loudspeakers, and these sounds are re-amplified enough, the effect of this feedback can be loud squealing or howling noises from the loudspeakers. it is a term often used in collage type atmosphere. probably not much on the ol ranch a buddy

thats ok if you dont understand it, its not my job to teach every closed mined individual on this amazingly diverse and oh so intelligent forum.

you bring a quality that this forum so desperately needs. congratulations on your success and good luck in the future. haha

If you wanna discuss why the whole field of climatology is wrong in this matter, I suggest you make another tread about that instead of cluttering up this. Hey - I'll even chime in. But not in this tread.

Clearly you were just laying out a bait with your post "How is drilling for oil responsible for killing polar bears? im not saying it isn't i just wanna understand the mechanism."
-So that you can tell about this brilliant theory that some computer guy has made up while chuckling behind your keyboard at all those stupid scientists that don't get it.

Asking at a party is the wrong place to expect people to know about crypto's. The industry is 90% geeks and investors.

Are you trying to say that geeks don't party hard? Tongue

good god for being geeks and squints your people are kinda dull. im asking a crowd that obviously is not into bitcoins but htis is what we need the avrage 30 yo who has money and a house and a car and some good income to invest. fuck i gotta spell it out for you.

Drilling for oil really isn't all that much, directly. Oil spills are, moreso.

I think in general "fossil fuels" being used is blamed for the warming, which then melts the ice. The ice causes:

1. dens to collapse on hibernating bears
2. less ice for bears to hunt from = more bear conflict in that area
3. less ice for bears to hunt from = less food at the ice
4. bears using ice that then melts in the time it takes them to swim out and back exhausts the bears that might have nowhere to rest.
5. younger bears dying off more due to their lack of self sustaining.

That about covers it.

ah yea well some warming is bound to be a bad thing for polar bears. The good news is that a healthy amount of warming is probably a good thing for most animals, ourselves including. The earth has been cooler than is optimal for quite a while now in my opinion =).

I live in California and I think the temperature of the Earth has been quite optimum, even to high sometimes for us:). Maybe we should create regional global warming, warm some areas and cool others:)

I think that it could happen however the hard part is getting the word out to all of those people. Great job at the party and way to spread the weard about BTC even if you were drunk. You know now that I think about it you could have profitied. Write your own ebook explaining all the fundamentals of BTC and then tell them its the number one BTC guide in existance and sell a copy to each of them for like $10:)... you know what new idea, I'm going to go write a beginners ebook for BTC.
