That is not right. All banks are obligated to run your account as long as you have money in it or just being active with it. What they did base on your story is they have taken away your money which is basically stealing it. Even if you violate something with your agreement in the bank they are not allowed to keep that money, even if it is illegal they must surrender the possession to the government.
Not really banks are private institutions and they have the right to refuse you if they think you bring trouble in some way or form, the banks may not like the source of your money, even if it is legal, the way you use your account or if the banks have bad experiences with you then they may decide to stop providing their services.

yeah I believe that's how all banks work as well. all banks of course follow certain policies to secure the accounts of their depositors and I don't think any bank would risk their name by just taking away any amount without permission from the authorized holder. it's possible that there may be some error that occurred but i don't think it was intentional

Such a bad news but we  must remember this is what banks do, putting your money in is very easy getting the money out is incredibly difficult to do, so only keep as much money you need in your bank account and the rest needs to be invested elsewhere, like in bitcoin.

I don't think that getting the money or withdrawing your money in the banks are difficult because I don't have any problems with them.

I still trust banks no matter what and they are the one who is responsible for my investments in my fiat.

And I do trust both of them, bitcoin and bank.
Yes, although there are instances where in bank has error transaction but before the end of the day they see to it that transactions made within the day was correct. So, the bank really gain my trust. Also with bitcoin because it is not hard to hack and transfer money. The moment I join the bank and bitcoin my trust is already with them.

Your trust on banks may last only till you transact in less volume of fiats. When you are starting dealing with millions, your bank wills tart showing their true faces (I mean, you might need to spend more money to solve those unnecessary problems)

Sometimes you don't even need to transact millions

As it seems to be the case with the OP. On the other hand, if you have many millions, you could just buy a bank yourself or at least try to enter the board of directors of some bank to get rid of such problems. Maybe, this is exactly what you meant to say by alluding to spending "more money to solve those unnecessary problems". Anyway, if you keep friendship with a banker (I mean a genuine banker, not some dude working as a plumber in a God-forsaken branch of a third tier bank), that will make your life a lot easier as a multimillionaire. For example, Bill Gates' mother (a daughter of a banker herself) was a member of First Interstate Bank of Washington's board of directors, and that might have been of great help to Microsoft in their earlier days

Over time, I guess you will realize the benefits of using bitcoins then you will start using only bitcoins. Still, you may trust banks but I am sure you may use banks occasionally or you will never need to use banks.

Whenever I would trust with the bank, it cannot be disputed that the role of the banks is very important. Although the bitcoin beat bank but I'm sure the bank will always exist. This is because of the Government guarantee which ensures all deposits are safe.
the key is bank guaranteed by the government, banks used to hold fiat, when fiat continue to exist and are used by everyone. then although bitcoin became popular though. banks will continue to exist and in trust
Banks cannot be defeated by bitcoin, the government is too powerful, they set the rules and we just obey and follow it. I don't think one should say that we don't have to trust banks because there is bitcoin already, we cannot do that, everyday we need fiat to spend for our needs and wants.
Bank have a control of our own fiat currency they based on the economy of the country and Bitcoin is depends on the demands. The more the Bitcoin demands the more the Bitcoin price even Bitcoin is a big threat of the bank.
It's not what I see. We have to accept the fact that in order to enjoy our bitcoin in real life we have to convert it into fiat, we need bank on that matter although we can cash out thru our exchange sites but they partner with banks. In that case, I don't think it is right to say we should not trust banks.

Banks function is to give us comfort and not to eliminate the use of bitcoin, in fact, they have an insurance of our deposits where bitcoin lacks.

My bank closed my account last year for no reason, and all money in my account was gone. I argued with the bank, even contacted the local government, no use. My bank just stated that "Pursuant to the CMA Disclosure and Agreement, 'THE BANK, at its discretion, may elect not to accept an account, terminate the account agreement and the account agreements of any related parties'. Both parties to the agreements have the right to end the relationship at any time and neither is obliged to provide a basis for such a decision to terminate". No single word explaing the termination was given to me. I contacted all banking lawyers online, and they were all representing the bank, not the customers. The money I lost can buy a new Mercedes. However, banks around the world now are too powerful. They are too big to fail. When you open an account in the United States, and probably also many other countries, you voluntarily give up the rights to sue the bank under their arbitrage clause. Even worse, they define the financial laws and enforce them. They can close your account, freeze and steal your property and evict you from your house. The more money you deposit into your bank account, the more you are helping the evil. I'm glad to see Bitcoin is changing all of these. Let banks die!

Maybe it got expired? or the bank got bankrupt, also i never got that problem but seriously? the bank itself? maybe they stole the money of your account i mean really >.< its unbelievable you can report that to the court of law dude.. and also you can sue the bank itself and double payment Cheesy yey!! Cheesy but to be honest with you some banks are good Cheesy and you can choose a good bank to store your money or bitcoin so that it would be secure but the tax is killing you >.< because more secure and known bank more tax it will have >.<

Yeah obviously banks will never move out the society. Banks are the financial institutions who is getting public deposits and credits. They made a huge impact in the world about economy. However, bitcoin is the only solution to wash it out but many chances for bank to acquire bitcoins soon.

I still trust my bank, although you can't help but be skeptical at times, especially if you are entrusting them with huge amounts of money. Better to have more than one bank and diversify your deposits and transactions just so you can have more peace of mind. Also, today's hackers have leveled up their game and are more creative in finding ways to steal from these financial institutions. All the more that we should be careful with what we do with our hard earned money.
Banks do have insurance to protect our deposits, and if you want to ensure your money will be covered with full insurance, you need to read the terms and condition. It is right to diversify your deposits as they have maximum amount of insurance only and that varies from country to country. We should be aware also with our rights, as even if a certain bank break the rules, we can always go after them with the help of the authorities.
i think we have no reason not to trust on bitcoin. i will like to continue use on bitcoin unless i become able to use bitcoin for everything. and i do not think that it will become possible to use depend on bitcoin for every thing and everywhere.

We cannot erase the fact that fiat is a basic necessity now, we work for money so we can survive in this world. The one who created fiat is the government which is distributed by the game, so that should convince us in believing with bank. Most of us has bank deposits and that is because we are confident our money is safe there.

After the existence of the bitcoin system, then an awful lot of bank weakness, we all know that the bank is very much the cost, sometimes I don't use ATM for 3 months, but ATM fee bills must continue to be paid. I don't like the bank because his system forced and there is no concern with the customer.
I think it depends on the bank. Like in my bank in our country. They give very good assistance to their customer. Like in my account, I used passbook since I was a child. After many years of not doing deposit or withdraw, they wrote me a letter to update my account and I should use debit card rather than pasbook for convinience. However in terms of transaction specially online transaction, we don't have a choice but to used bank to convert fiat money to digital currency vice versa.
