In as much as I do not like the idea of tax, I understand from the leaders of my country that these taxes are used for developing the country. Whether married or not, you will need quality water, good roads, health care centers among many others. How does government provide all these if we do not pay tax. Again what will be the essence of my so much money if I do not procreate? Why would one want to live and die alone with family?
In most of the countries, more than 50% of the tax money is used for salaries and pensions of government servants. Another large chunk is used to provide unemployment benefits and other welfare payments. In countries such as the United States, a large part goes towards waging wars and military invasions. In normal cases, less than 10% is allocated for infrastructure development, education and healthcare combined. And with every passing year, this proportion is going down.
