I don't think I have that kind of experience because I'm not the type of big investor who does some crazy things to invest in cryptocurrencies. in fact, I am well aware of my ability to invest, so I prefer reasonable investments, especially in certain Bitcoins and AltCoins.

However, there are indeed a number of things that are moving, especially regarding the selection of strategy coins and several other important and significant things based on past experiences, both bad and profitable. Especially if it is an investment in several altcoins where I have invested in altcoins and the results were very, very bad. This is where I learned a lot about how to choose an investment that is at least safer than just like gambling.

As far as I recall, my first Bitcoin purchase was a piece of land because we were living in a squatter area. When you live in a squatter area, you never know if you'll be forced to leave the next month because the area is being used by the government. That is what I am concerned about. That's why I got a land because it's also an investment; I'm very grateful and surprised that I can buy a land with Bitcoin income. I'm grateful to Bitcoin because it's the reason I'm where I am now.

> illegally occupy property, because f**k government, private property and capitalists.
> save tons of money from not paying rent and utilities.
> use that money to buy private land, like a true capitalist.

You sir, are a genius. Respect.

If you're a dreamer, what would be your dream ?
I don't want Satoshi to come out of hiding (if alive) and sell all his bitcoin in the future.
Regarding the investment plan, of course I always try to continue to accumulate as much bitcoin as I can. I just really hope that bitcoin can help me financially in my old days so I can sit quietly without a lot of financial burdens.

I don't think about how I should spend bitcoins in the future if it is an investment asset. I don't use it as currency in my country, so it's just a high value asset. But of course it's great if my country can legalize bitcoin as a means of payment, so many people will get easy transactions with it.

Hello,

What was your first purchase in btc that was a special event for you : it was nice, cute, exciting or great. If you hodl, will you ever spend your btc ?

If you're a dreamer, what would be your dream ?
It's clear that bitcoin is an asset and anyone holding it bitcoin for long term that person is targeting future profit as I said before, so everyone dream in bitcoin investment is to make a profit in any investment perform with bitcoin, their is some certain things I know that people who invest in bitcoin always think of, (1) their purpose of running a long term investment with bitcoin is to make profit, for example if bitcoin price is at 11k and they purchase bitcoin in year 2011 and hold bitcoin till 2023 and the price of bitcoin appreciate triple times of what they bought that means the invest have made a surplus profit, that is why billionaires take risk for investment and get more richer, my dream in bitcoin investment is to be buying bitcoin and keeping for future profit

My first purchase of bitcoin was in 2016. That's was my first introduction to any cryptocurrency and I bought 0.03BTC which I used in a pyramid scheme that ended badly for me. I was told to bring two referrers and after getting the referrers, they both paid to me which I forwarded to my upline. The referrer they brought paid to them, one of my downlines held the fund and refused to release it to me and that was how lost half of my bitcoin and also the interest in bitcoin, because I felt bitcoin was a scam. It took me a while to realize the wide mark between bitcoin and ponzi scheme. After then, I've made some purchases and I've been hodling.

My economic situation unfortunately has not allowed me to raise enough to invest in bitcoin and the truth ........... how i would like to do it since by getting involved and getting to know this asset i realize the potential and the possibility of being able to change my life and that of people the one i love the most is why i do not lose hope i know that at some point i will opt for this great opportunity, i have had many expectations with this coin and many dreams that i did not have before or thought impossible until the moment i found out about its existence, that's why i try to cope with everything that has to do with managing my money........to achieve that goal, and as much as i can,Take risks and adapt to losses like a learner but like many for there they say..... who does not lose from time to time does not win the greatest reward........ Sinbad Mixer: Mix Your BTC Quickly
And not to make fun of you or anything, but that's a silly goal to have. There's nothing special about having a particular number in your wallet. I'm sure you'd much prefer to have just 1 btc worth $1 mil, than 21 btc worth $10k each.
I know that not everyone will understand this but what I meant is that if I have 21 BTC, I would be among the million richest person/investor in terms of Bitcoin. That's my primary goal to achieve. However my ambitions won't stop there.
So if your goal is to get that magic number of 21, you should be rooting for Bitcoin to do bad and lose its value, because then your goal would be easier to achieve.
True, but as long as it returns to its normal value which could be quite hard and I don't root for that actually, I'm just content with Bitcoin's current price. I don't mind if it takes more time to reach that goal regardless of the price. In fact, I'm hoping for even greater value next year and that's my prediction for Bitcoin after the halving.

Shit. At that time, I chose shitcoins. poor of me.

Was once one of the rows of newbies who didn't understand anything but hoped to get rich quick from altcoins, and ended in very high regret because of the failure to ahit coins. Unfortunately this is not just once but several times. I really regret why I didn't invest only in Bitcoin, but instead in some shit coins.

There is nothing to regret, we simply learn. If we start to regret, it can go a long way! There are people who bought loads of stuff with thousands of bitcoins 10 years ago and may be broke today...

PS: I still have edgeless  Grin

Just straight up holding Bitcoin without putting it in use is just not it. We actually help promote the adoption of Bitcoin and Crypto-currency at large by actually making use of them. It's very smart and profitable to be hodling Bitcoin but it also has so transaction benefits that keeps it above the traditional finance.

Well my personal experience, I would say that I am not a once in a blue moon user of Bitcoin I use Bitcoin as a means of exchange regularly and I still have my reserves I am holding. A world where Bitcoin is freely used would be great.

Actually, what I was thinking while answering these questions should have been what would I buy if I didn't sell. Or at what level will I keep Bitcoin for now? These are questions that every bitcoin investor thinks about. This topic got me thinking again.

I used to make small purchases by selling bitcoin, things like a little vacation. I hope we reach our goals in the next bull.

I choose to hold my bitcoin for long due to the high volatile nature of bitcoin,it is better to use it as an asset or a store of value.

I understand this sentiment, but even those who look at Bitcoin only as an investment could use it to buy things. Sooner or later you'd want to cash in into fiat (even if just a portion of your holding), and probably use that fiat to buy different goods, so it would make more sense to buy such goods with bitcoins directly (if such option exists) rather than sending it to exchange and pay fees to convert etc. This should be cheaper and saves time + increases Bitcoin adoption, making it more valuable.

My first purchase in Bitcoin was when I wanted to make payment for a service online and the person was overseas and the only way to make fast and heap payment is through Bitcoin. I bought Bitcoin through a P2P form of trading.
I think having one of the whole 21 million Bitcoin is currently my dream now.

I would say, My dream is to hold at least 21 bitcoins in my wallet. For me it's a lot of money, and I hope to achieve this goal before pursuing other objectives. I know that this sum may not be really a lot for wealthier members in this forum, but it would truly be an extraordinary accomplishment to have such a great amount of BTC in my wallet.

21 btc is, at the current price >$600k, that's a lot of money even in the richest parts of the world. It's probably not enough to retire (unless moving to a country with low costs of living), but hardly anyone would describe it as "not a lot".

And not to make fun of you or anything, but that's a silly goal to have. There's nothing special about having a particular number in your wallet. I'm sure you'd much prefer to have just 1 btc worth $1 mil, than 21 btc worth $10k each.

My first purchase was buying a phone and after that I have never used bitcoin. I choose to hold my bitcoin for long due to the high volatile nature of bitcoin,it is better to use it as an asset or a store of value. The phone I bought was given to someone as a gift and I don't have cash on me at that moment, since the phone was an urgent need. My dream is to stash up my portfolio and use some of my bitcoin for charity. Maybe we all have different purpose why we are holding our bitcoin.

Nah, I don’t remember to be honest. It was all about yes or no at the time and really came to know about it when my friends introduced me with the Bitcoin. It was that one techie who was all the time over the internet who taught about the bitcoin. Though I already knew the term bitcoin but obviously wasn’t sure about it. So if you ask me the feeling when I bought it, well I was shaky to do it because I wasn’t really sure and prepared for it. I think I would have enjoyed my first bitcoin purchase if I already had deep knowledge about it and how much importance it holds. Anyways now I am full time lover of bitcoin, got myself hardware wallet and I’m a hodler.

My actual first purchase(and a few others after that one) was nothing exciting, it was a game on Steam - from a great time when Steam used to accept Bitcoin directly. I was earning trough signature campaigns and doing various tasks here and it really helped me as I could buy stuff I couldn't afford before.

After a while, I've decided to stack up my earnings and buy something bigger and more useful, as games started to bore me. And then we get to my first physical purchase - an electric guitar and amp. I've accumulated what was then around 60 euros and after a pump in price those Bitcoins were worth 250 euros.

The total Bitcoin I've spent would be worth 6k euros when Bitcoin hit the ATH, but I didn't think that it could go much higher back then. I was wrong but again, I have no regrets and I'm glad that I've bought something I like(and I still play it today) and something my parents couldn't afford buying. I still remember how surprised and proud they were when I was home unpacking it. That's mostly why I love Bitcoin so much.

I didn't earn big money, but maybe I wouldn't ever play the guitar and to me, that is priceless.

My first Bitcoin purchase was an exciting moment for me as a newbie then. I thought of holding it for a long time which I am currently doing. Although I currently earn it as a result of my services rendered here and it does not equate to the joy and feelings I had then while purchasing my first bitcoin which was my first crypto investment then. I can boldly tell that it is yielding positively as a result of the market trend when I bought it then. I do not plan or intend to sell it anytime soonest as I had made up my mind since then to hold for a very long time and see how it goes.

What was your first purchase in btc that was a special event for you : it was nice, cute, exciting or great. If you hodl, will you ever spend your btc ?
I have not used bitcoins to purchase a car , a house etc but what I have used bitcoins for is to pay for services rendered to me by a friend who requested that I make the payment in bitcoins so they can by that means have some bitcoins of their own.

I am more commited to HODLing the bitcoins I have for the now than using it at every opportunity I get to make payment. I am trying to be more used to keeping bitcoins than spending it.
