While my guitar gently weeps!!!
I have nothing to say, its  his decision and its his own money, I could just tell him that those ponzis are risky and might run his money... There is no need to stop them coz it's not right...Tell him that you will be laughing at his ass when his money is gone...  Cheesy

well i would say good luck to him, hopefully it wont turn to scam, you cant do anything anymore because he already invest it, its better to advise him to stay away from HYIP and ponzi also cloud mining in the future, and tell him how is the correct way to earn bitcoin so he wont be scammed again

Let's one of your friend say he/she (for simple reference, I will just use 'he' throughout the thread) just know about Bitcoin. And he purchased some Bitcoin and invested some of it to cloud mining site. What will you say to him? Would it be nice for you to tell him to stop? Or let him learn online scam the hard way?

I will tell him that cloud mining is not worth anymore and it will takes long time to get ROI and profit. Especially after the halving, it's become more more harder.
When you invest in cloud mining you're hoping that the overall and total hashing power of the network will go down so that your investment gains more value over the term of it's maturation. The halving then effectively halves the value of the contract, and, depending on how the market moves, can increase the time required to pay off the initial investment, let alone gather an ROI.

i think the ROI for cloud mining takes too long especially on how many hash rate you paid. the more the rate the more profit for investor. Genesis mining is the most trusted cloud mining as of now.
because they have proof that they have a miner farm. but AFAIK they are risk also in investing with them because we don't when did they farm got shutdown . Smiley cloud mining is not advisable i'd rather setup my miner than investing to people we don't know

if he purchased already well we ill wait if what will happen to his coin. If he get hi ROI well good news but I will not recommend him  to do that again because its too risky to join in cloudmining sites. So I will suggest him why nit go in trading you will not get scam but you will do some effort about that and research also. Not just giving money to some unknown people and waiting that your money will come back, Well you have only 30% chance that your coin will come back to this sites.

First I'd ask him in what cloud mining website he invested (I find hashnet to be good, I've profited from them for 40% in one month and that was a year ago) if he said then he invested in some other service I'd tell him to draw taht funds asap and not to invest in cloud mining, maybe suggest him to buy a miner and mine alt-coins.

What will I say after what he has done? Since he did it already, I will just tell him my experience, on how I know cloud meaning, but, I won't stop him. I will just let him know what might or might not happen, the possibilities based on my own experience. In the end, no matter what, he is still the one who can decide what he wanted to do with his coins.

Undeads.com - P2E Runner Game
I've seen it in my local forum , the member itself recommended for anyone asking about how to grow their bitcoin to investing in "cloud mining".
That's the wrong tips would be given to beginner , and makes their money vanished , but we can't force them for stop on cloud mining after they deposited their money there , but we can give an explanation about HYIP or ponzi scheme so they would be understand about bitcoin investment.

well if you knew bitcoin than your friend. i think you should guide or teach him the best way where to earn and invest on it.. there are gambling sites that gives investment. or trading sites you can tell them. and it would be good for you as you can make them your referral.

Hopefully anyone that just found out about Bitcoin will do some research before spending too much money on an investment.
If anyone I knew went into cloud mining, hopefully they spent it on one of the sites that aren't a scam.
Unfortunately, probably 99.9% of cloud mining is a scam. Sad

I have a friend like that, but it happened already one year ago. when it was cloud mining very crowded. I previously was the victim of cloud mining and stop investing there. when I just tell my friend about cloud mining that is less good. but he ignored my advice and finally he was regret. indeed sometimes the experience is that can prove it, so people believe.
i avoid cloud mining websites at all costs, i used to try it though they scammed me on a lot of money as i did not know they were just hyips before

Too difficult for giving advice for them because they already believe if the cloud mining is profitable because I ever trying finding one of my friends is just putting all of their money into cloud mining site and their head is very harsh to get my advice.

i see a lot of people investing in it too and it is just a waste of time and money because they will all turn to a scam and give no returns in my opinion

I would just ask my friend if they know it's a scam.

If he says, "Yes," then that let's me know that he knows what he's getting into and leave it at that.

If he says, "No," then I would explain what I know about them and let him still make the decision for himself if he wants to continue with it or not.
Not all cloudmining services are a scam, I would not say that Genesis-mining is a scam.
Now, if it will make a profit, that's another question.

I've personally made a profit through Genesis-mining by getting paid in Dash and selling it when the price was pretty high a couple of months ago.

I would make fun of him to make him understand he's doing something stupid

Stupid is as stupid does, and that would be an equal exercise in stupidity, though not as forgiving. I don't think you would be quite happy being ridiculed for having lost a decent amount of money (no matter what's the reason, ignorance or not)...

Surely not something to laugh at (remember, karma is a bitch)

What's done is done, after the "investment" his money are already lost and he won't be able to recover them.
The only thing i can do is to warn him about online scams and teach him how to recognize a shady business from a legit one,the best suggestion you can give to newbies who are interested in investing their money online is to stay away from any site that promises high returns and always ask his friends' opinion before making any move.

If he invested here already we can not get it unless if the cloud mining is giving a first withdraw they can still recover it but i will tell them the truth that cloud mining is scam they are just the same as investment site they will run after few days or weeks.
