Keeping your mouth shut is one of the most important ways to protect one's privacy, aside from keeping your private keys and phrases safe from the eyes of others.

Some of the theft cases that I have read online are due to how lousy the holder is, which attracts people to either set hacking traps or physical attack robbing.

If some people can learn how to keep their mouths shut, their chances of protection for their holdings will increase.
I honestly agree. You will secure more your privacy and anonymity if you keep your mouth shut constantly. Don’t be too trusting to other people and share them important details, that will only put yourself at risk. And always stay low key. Don’t tell people your crypto success, but only keep it to yourself. Focus on your own growth and progress by constantly educating yourself, that will establish your bright future ahead of you.
It is not always easy to distrust friends, relatives... some people are more suspicious, but others are too trusting and don't see evil in others. On the other hand, some people need to to draw attention to their person and their successes (narcissistics and people with low self-esteem (although aren't them the same?)).

So, if you have cryptos, better think about it twice before opening your mouth. You have almost nothing to win, but too much to lose.
Getting a family member, friend, or relative to trust some information is very hard, but in some cases we still have to take the risk of doing so. One just has to limit the number of ears they disclose such information to in order to also limit the number of people they suspect when things go sideways.

If not that, at some level, one just needs to share their crypto holding information with either their spouse or child in case of emergence. I completely like the idea of remaining anonymous and private about one's holdings.

Do not borrow money or take loan to invest in cryptocurrency even if it is Bitcoin.

Do your own research is the most important advice because if you do your research, your decision will be centered based on your knowledge, and you will hardly make a costly mistake that will affect your crypto journey.

Don’t be greedy if you are a trader, take the little profit you have and move on.
You have mentioned one of the things that are very important in the crypto industry and all investors must learn to not neglect these things if they want to be successful.

Borrowing money to invest will not actually solve things for you it is more like investing for the person you borrowed money from but just that you get to keep any profit made. When you borrow money to invest you will have no rest of mind and when ever there is a downward movement in the market you will be even more frustrated and there will be no rest of mind for you and you will be more bothered about paying back your debt.

A lot of people ignore doing their own research and always want to follow the predictions and speculations of others and it’s very wrong so we need to prioritize doing our own research to always have knowledge about what we are investing in.

Greed is also as important as others because it has cost a lot of people their fortune all in the name of wanting more. It is important for every investor to be able to eliminate greed from their investment.

Don't believe in lies and false accusations but always do your own research. That's the most reliable advice I can give for someone new in this kind of industry. And never go for shortcuts towards crypto trading or investment success, everything comes from hardwork and full focus and attention on your crypto goal.
The points of your suggestion looks like almost similar with others
- Always DYOR
- Gain proper knowledge
- No instant success

Actually these are common suggestions that we very often saw in this forum. Those are surely useful suggestion, but sadly many of people don't care with the suggestions. Especially the newbies, they are too obsessed to gain money as much as possible. The obsession makes them forget the key for the success, they are not patient to get knowledge properly.

Think twice before doing anything.
Bitcoin gives you absolute power with spending your money, and that includes making mistakes. Thinking twice and double-checking your entries is crucial because once you press that send button, there is no going back. There is no customer support to turn to or a redo button to correct your mistake. If you adopt such a mentality, it can also help you outside of bitcoin and crypto. That in combination with common sense and you will never fall for an obvious scam ever again.

I think the most important crypto advice would be for newbies to gain enough knowledge about the market before they start making investments in this industry because cryptocurrencies aren't a get-rich-quick scheme and if they think this way about them, they are going to waste their money. They need to do enough research before they choose a cryptocurrency they want to invest their money in because, without research, you can't know whether a project has potential or not.

Most newbie investors these days invest their money in meme coins and newly launched altcoins without doing any research, they need to understand that cryptocurrency investments aren't supposed to be taken as gambling where you make a bet and try your luck to see whether you win it or not, if you do that, you are going to lose a lot of money.

1. Store private keys well on paper, if you store in the keep / google office if the email is hacked of course your records are not safe and can be copied, it is dangerous.
There is no need for you to store private keys of all your addresses that you have used, what you have to store on paper is your seed phrase, because with your seed phrase, you can recover all of your addresses in your wallet. Of course you shouldn't also keep your seed phrase in your mail box, it shouldn't be anywhere close to the internet, but should be backed up offline.

I think these are the two best advice you can ever give to anyone and be safe in the cryptocurrency industry. You don’t just save the next individual but, you guide yourself in the process even while stirring the individual in a direction.

10. DYOR
Asking them to DYOR puts the ball in their court so they understand the options they’ve got and how it is by their choices to see reasons to believe or not all originated from them, perhaps your pep talk could be a guide but, you let them be a boss of their own like very crypto investor is expected to be.

3.  Not your Keys - Not Your Coin
Not your keys, not your coins!
No better way to be both cautious and safe than not following these principle. It ensures you keep your Bitcoin on a non-custodian wallet as well as, keeping your keys private.

1. Do a lot of research on crypto currency.
2. Try to keep your secrets to yourself.
3. Invest with knowledge and analysis.
4.  Don't sell them hastily after investing.
5. Don't worry about price drops.
6. Don't listen to rumours.
7.  Keep  money in the right wallet.

I consider Bitcoin to be the safest to invest in the crypto world.  Holding long in other coins seems risky to me. Be sure to keep an investment mindset. remember "no risk no gain".

The ease of storing coins today is free to choose non-custodial wallets, cold wallets and can even buy hardware wallets, all wallets can be rated the best that people often use widely. better:

1. Store private keys well on paper, if you store in the keep / google office if the email is hacked of course your records are not safe and can be copied, it is dangerous.

2.if the wallet contains bitcoin / other crypto to be saved in the long term it is better to separate it from the usual new web interaction (even research material).

3, Many types of investments are just growing in crypto, there are indeed some that can survive and even take a long time to get into the top tier cex, and only then can you see good market volume and good coin prices, if investing in cheap coins it is better to budget from daily trading capital, in the sense of not rushing to use, very high risk and high profit. If in doubt, it is better to choose bitcoin that is already in any market that can even be bought in 1 an satosi, according to ability.

The common tip is about keeping our private keys and they no longer belong to us when we don't have them. And about keeping our mouth shut, this is actually what I've learned with my stay here for years. Excitement is there when we see our assets going up due to the volatility nature of it and we're just too happy to share it with the others. It's best to avoid that at any season, you'll never know if the person whom you're talking to can do such a thing against you because you've been too vocal. You don't have to share everything about your life especially your finances and the assets that you own so I agree to put a zipper on our mouths.

What is your most important crypto advice?
Please share here and also add a short comment why it is your most important crypto advice.

My most important crypto advice is "not your keys - not your coins" because it is simply a very important advice, where we should be aware to have real access to our coins and don't need to rely on a middleman. Bitcoin is clearly designed as a P2P currency.
My biggest cryptocurrency lesson is never to trust the statement of another person always do your own research to fine out what exactly you are up against because as matter of fact, most comments or advice are born out of the experience of another person whose situation a.d experience is different from yours and following their advice, suggestions and advice may give you wrong results and that is why we advice that we should always carry out a second thought and personal research before taking any recommendations and advice seriously.

What is your most important crypto advice?

My two most important crypto advise are:
1- Invest what you can afford to lose
2- Not your keys not your coins

This are very important to me because i feel they are the key to investing, when this things are stuck in one’s head and he abides by them then i believe the person is safe and maintaining discipline.

- Investing what you can afford to lose is very important for every person so they don’t go risking too much all in the name of investing, it’s not a do or die affair so investing too much above your comfort will only put you into more trouble.

- Not your keys not your coins is another advice i take seriously because it’s about security of one precious assets and understanding this will let us know the dangers of giving out our keys to others and also know the best type of wallet to utilize.

Do your own research.

- Jay -

Yes, do your research after being informed or enquired and do not rest comfortably on the media speculations because you can be misguided based on influencers personal interests.

And do no go with assumptions. Always research and enquire at any suspiciousness or doubts.

Do your own research. Always be careful. Prioritize privacy and security. Increase knowledge that can make you full of patience. Don't be easily trapped by information. Our assets belong to us not to others so that it leads us to not your keys not your coins. All of this is basically the same as important advice in life.

I recommend you read the book "The Bitcoin Standard" by economist Saifedean Ammous, as well as the book "Broken Money" by author Lyn Alden.

Curiously, a few days ago the user Pmalek posted that S. Ammous gave his permission to download his popular books for free from a link he retweeted, so those who want to learn about "The Bitcoin Standard" but don't have much money to purchase it can get free knowledge, which is a great move by the author IMO.

Link to the thread where this is discussed: The Bitcoin Standard and other S. Ammous books for free!

Bitcoin Standard" on YouTube as an audiobook. You can listen to it while you are walking or driving to work.
