The main problem of betting exchanges is low liquidity. It automatically takes away any benefit from such a game. Therefore, traditional bookmakers are still in priority.

Player vs player can be done with someone in the forum and only needs an escrow of the funds. I suppose its what fairplay.live role. How much is fairplay.live asking for it?

There wouldn't be odds if I were to bet. But doing it on a system will make me win more if I have to root to an underdog. Thats the advantage when doing it on booking.

Player vs Player

It is same as playing against the odds that are created by the system based on the match situation.
Here also a platform is required to make both the person select the odds against each other.
Live betting is not possible.
There is a need for escrow.

Player vs System

Live betting is the attraction of playing against system.
The reputation of the sports betting website makes the selection of odds trustworthy.
Automatically the funds get settled on winning and loses.
More number of choice on odds available for a single game.

actually I prefer p2p bets because in this way the victory or defeat we experience is more real and there is no manipulation of each other or it can be said to be very fair if the opponents we choose are trustworthy and professional. but because in my country all types of gambling are illegal activities or are considered an activity that can harm others, so this method can only be done secretly

are there any fees if a players bet on a game but after the game ended there are no other players that bet on that game?

No. You get your total bet amount back.
Fees only apply on your winnings, so, if nobody bets against your winnings are zero and so are the fees.

I think if in sportsbetting, no matter we bet with what. As long it is same the system, i mean winner take the reward, actually it is good too. Maybe if your concept like this, still can get accepted by people.

This is essentially what exchanges such as Betfair & Matchbook offer & is nothing new. Upon these Platforms you can choose whether to Back or Lay at whichever price you choose, if you are matched & win the Bookmaker will take a commission, often less than the margin on the Sportsbook.

It sounds interesting approach.
Keep using only Ethereum for betting can perform the platform for a unique service provided by smart contracts at the top of Ethereum. You can add a feature for btc users to convert to Ethereum for betting in your rate.

Well as your platform's name said, it's a fair play. No algorithm, no one can control the betting. It's pure strategy where you can bet on your favorite team or to the best team.

It's also challenging if you're goal is to defeat the other player who voted against your team. It will be a fair betting game.

I am more comfortable playing with a sportsbook that I know will pay me rather then a p2p type of scenario
You have a nice looking site but I would not be in a major hurry to deposit my BITCOIN
After your website started looking for metafox, I closed the window and went back to my other sportsbooks

You mean metamask? Expect for it to be used yet its p2p basing on ETH platform. Its quite hassle actually that's why I lost interest too.  Grin

Some people like to bet against bookies and some other like playing against another player. It depends on what the individual gambler like.I don't like playing against other players in sport betting as their choices distract me while the bookie has only three outcomes as the main bets in moneyline. As a concept though player against player is a nice one.
Correct! We have seen different insights on this p2p thing and some are interest some aren't.It do really just depend on users preference but this might get some market share.

guess who's back
the idea is nice but the thing is that you will probably have very low volume , even betfair has low liquidity for some of their events and selections
so it can't replace normal sportsbetting sites unless you start offering markets from pinnacle like fairlay is doing , and maybe some of the traders in your site will start putting better orders

Is that Fairplay.live or Fairplay.liveplatform? You should probably edit out the "platform" as the link did not work for me.

Wow! I Didn't see that!
Its https://www.fairplay.live. I Corrected it. Thanks for letting me know!

The peer-to-peer sports betting sounds interesting but you need to build your reputation first or atleast buy the copper badge in order to be taken seriously

Thanks for that also. I didn't know you could "buy your permission to post images". I thought i was doing something wrong with the bb code.

To be honest about reputation, i was hopping that having no/low reputation wouldn't matter because people would be able to read and trust our smart contract code. If you are able to do that then you can understand that we don't have any authority over your money on the platform.

I find betting against each other fair than the usual way of betting. I find it interesting and challenging as well.
I have tried it in different ways with my friends before and it was really fun and thrilling.
That's why I like fairplay and I have joined you in discord.

Thanks Genemind!

Betting against other player is a traditional way of gambling in real life. So, I think it would be something new online since most sports betting online is done by bookies. I don't gamble so much, but I like the concept of the website. Good luck, hoping for further development in your platform.

Thank you Ailmand!

I like sports betting against friends, that's really cool and is a very common practice in Brazil.
Against strangers is a total different dynamic. It's also cool, but harder for newcomers.
Unless I am very experienced, I would not try. That's like a newbie playing online against veterans lol

Thank you.
In the next version of the platform we intend to allow players to create "private" bets that they can share among their friends.

so your role in this type of betting is like being an escrow where you hold the btc and give the btc to those who won

Our role in this is to provide the events to bet on and verify the final outcome of each event (we play the role of an Oracle).
Other than this, everything else is done with code (and we cannot change this code).
We do not hold any money and we don't have the power to give money to anyone. Every user is always in control of his money and this is all done with an immutable smart contract.

Also to clarify: We do not support BTC unfortunately. You can only with ETH.

and the payment for your service will be paid by both party in the start of the game or just the one who made the event?

We only take a small percentage from the winnings (from the money of the player(s) who lost the bet.
The person who won get his money back + winnings - our fee.
