We would like to see growing prices, green charts, bull run and ATH fast approaching soon, but it may be that we will wait for something like that until 2020. I think that 2019 will be a year of consolidation and we will have to wait till 2020 to see some serious price movements.

It is not easy to know what will happen in 2019 especially when this year has been so bad, there is a very real possibility that the next year is not going to be that much different and that is going to scare a lot people away from this market regardless of any advancement in technology of cryptocurrencies, this can be good or bad depending on your perspective, it can be good if you have money to buy cryptocurrencies but if you don't then it is going to be a difficult year.

It's panning out a lot like 2014. Not the exact same shape, but similar slow and prolonged decline. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see a capitulation like January 2015 followed by a year of sideways where everyone forgets about Bitcoin.

I think 2019 will be a quiet year, and 2020 is when the market will start getting hyped again.
That is more or less what I think it will happen, so it is nice to find another like minded individual, like everyone else I will prefer to get a faster recovery but I'm completely ready to hold my coins for years if necessary so I can see my target price, some may think that my strategy is very risky but the small amount of money that I invested in bitcoin is something that I can afford to lose.

My prediction for 2019 is that during the first half Bitcoin may reach a low of $3,000 per coin, before recovering to 4K-5K levels by the end of the year. The real recovery will occur in 2020 after the block reward halving.
of course it can happen, and has strong potential. however, I don't think bitcoin prices will always continue to decline. I'm sure, even though at the beginning of the year, bitcoin prices tend to fall, but in mid-2019, bitcoin has the potential to bounce back.

I hope it will start to pump by the early months of 2019 and recover more faster. Even if the market is on rapid growing, I am confidently believing its good outcome and continually growing. And I still keep my positive determination to deliberate a good and reliable profits in return.

Hi, friends! Many experts agree that blockchain and cryptocurrency will develop with even greater speed and integrate not only in the financial sector, but also in other public spheres, it will strengthen and increase the market, despite the current recession, the jump upwards is obviously still ahead.

people are making assumptions and they want us all to be optimistic about the future, and there are some promising things like BAKKT and ETF, but even the moment does not have anything concrete, when I say concretely I mean the authorities have not yet approved the BAKKT or ETF. we still need recognition from governments. when many governments legalize cryptos then we can dream of a very good future

What do you think, your forecast, what events are waiting for us next year?

BAKKT and  VanEck ETF could create conditions for a possible increase in prices and who knows we will see the $ 15000 next year

EFT does not matter. Blip and gone.

Money will flow, or rather value will flow into crypto.

3~2k ish bottom btc is dead, then sideways for a year, then a slow up, boom, mid 2020 100K~200K repeat pop, 30 ishK, 2021, 2023 1 M a coin so in 5 years should be about 1M a coin followed by pop to 100K ~ 200K ish 7 years out stable at about 1M a coin

I can't wait to see what 2019 brings but I think we'll be seeing more STOs.  Many projects will die out and only those can can stand the heat will be left.  Also blockchain will experience more integration into sectors like health and insurance, even though it's already happening,  I think we'll see more of it and a project I'm looking forward to in that aspect is HiNounou. 2019 will be full of surprises

Hope we're going to recover with Bakkt launch next year. But i'm not expecting too much that it can stop the bleeding since it's not a guaranteed and we don't know what others thinking during that time. Aside from Bakkt, I don't see any reason that could affect the price to goes up in 2019.
BAKKT and ETF are the possible things that can spark out a bull run or reversal trend of the entire Crypto market but well no one can able to give
the precise thing on this very unpredictable market. For now on this year 2019 I do already accept that this is indeed a bearish run all the way.I don't already expect on
such recovery of price until the end of this year.

I definitely think the price will go up during 2019 even if not at the end of 2018. I think the price at these prices are unsustainable and will have to be recorrecting itself soon. Right now, it is lower then the mining costs and it would have to go up about a thousand dollars in order to cover the loss at least.

On top of that you would need it to go a bit higher so it could be worth trying to mine at all because people are spending millions of dollars into this in order to make money so they wouldn't say yes to 10 dollars a day, they need thousands of dollars if not hundreds of thousands of dollars in order to make this acceptable. I think they will start to keep their coins to themselves which will make it a bit easier for the price to jump back up quite soon.

2019 will be a year of stagnancy and bull together, just like 2018 was for bear and stagnant market.

I think the bitcoin price is going to be huge in 2019 with the launch of Bakkt which may lead so many institutional investors to invest heavily in cryptocurrency. Once the Bakkt is launched lots of money will flow in to the cryptocurrency market by the institutional investors and that alone will boost the market. I think the bitcoin price is going to reach another level high in 2019, the minimum of $25,000 I guess.

There are so many arguments that predict to move sideways,I'm not so that crypto growth is faster than in previous years there are many applications of blockchain a number of regions in the world and it becomes an impetus for value in the market.

That is the time for the real growth of crypto currencies without any hype and manipulation in my opinion.I can see that now the expectation of crypto currencies gets decreased due to the long bear run throughout the year and the nxt year will be the decision making year of crypto's future.

No one is sure for that if that will happen or just another prediction that is no assurance but we can still be positive with bitcoin, because I am sure it will recover again, maybe it is not as fast as last year on how bitcoin hit the last ATH's, but hopefully soon after this crisis with bitcoin we can have good amount bitcoin, even if $10k is good enough for me.

My guess is the market goes mostly sideways in 2019. Technology improvement does not affect bitcoin anymore. It has chosen the path to be a store of value (like gold) rather than currency and there's not much to improve there. After this last bubble and crash is over, I see more stable future for bitcoin with slow rise in 2020 and onwards.

Even old mcafee's prediction

even ?   his prediction wasnt based off anything but hype.   I thought the price was already ahead of itself over 3000 last year so I'm not sure now what would be correct but the market always shifts too far in both directions.  It went up a ton too much and this year I guess it would also over correct.   The problem is guessing when its been over done, most realised 20,000 was a blow off top not a new normal.   It was from a few different factors like fees causing some backlog in transaction and natural price finding I think that helped the price in a very ironic way.

it is impossible to predict bitcoin at this point. but in my opinion it depends on how December is going to be like. if this nonsense with BCASH stops and we see the recovery starts in December then we can see the market go back to normal and bitcoin to starts its long overdue rise in early 2019 but if December continues to be bad like this then the recovery would take longer.
