It is meant to be known by the user cos is a private stuff,just like bank debit card's pin etc but there should always be backup ,because one can forget his keys but if there's a backup there will be no worries

I always save my wallet key in safety place because it is the most important to all the crypto user.On the other hand we should teach our family member about wallet key and password.

On the contrary, I think that we should keep our wallet keys and passwords to ourselves and ourselves alone. I agree that we should leave a trace for our family to find so they access our wallets when we are gone, however, I do not think it is wise to just let anyone know what our wallet keys and passwords are.

I totally agree with this it is a right decision. I will not be able to leave my money neglected meaningless when I die. It must be used in a meaningful way such as caring for a loved one, or for charity.

Going by the spirit of your post, it is not just enough to give any of the keys to your family member. It amounts to nothing if they cannot on their own use it. So the best way is to teach your family member the nitty gritty of blockchain and bitcointalk.

I've got provisions for a case like this. Should I suddenly die, special people from my life know how they can get my coins and maybe pay for my funeral with it. As long as I live, I have the sole control over the coins, but once I die, all information is deposited for my descendants. So I don't have to worry about that anymore and I know my coins will be in good hands after I die.

yes you are correct the password that must be owned by your account and some other security must be able to give a note and you also have to be able to give it to your wife or family so they can still use your assets.

You need to think of something creative to pass the details on, along with instructions to cash out. Put everything in an encrypted memory stick and hide it with your will. You must have a shared password you can use so they can read the contents

Very true. What you need to do is just make some backup of your wallet credential in a safe place like deposit box.
If you have much coins in your wallet, someday when you die, the coin balance will never move from the wallet, and making the circulation of the coin reduced.

Yes, your wallet keys and passwords should be known only yourself, but to entrust people like your family you can give it to them incase of emergency like if you are not around it your house and there’s a problem that included money they get a money through your wallet just like that, and i have a trust to my family because they are my family no matter what happen we still a family.

We have keep secure about bitcoin or altcoin wallet data for our self, but we have to give information to our family to know about how to access our account. Maybe some time we have go far away from home and have internet access we can ask our family to open and sell all our coin.

It is true your key and password to your wallet should be known to you but some times unforeseen circumstances do happen which might warrant your key and password to be known by somebody else. The person just have to be a trusted person to you.

Maybe it's too hard for us, but I think it's an obligation for us to tell our private keys to the family. But we must tell our family not to share it to anyone else and also keep it secret if we keeping bitcoins.

you are absolutely right on this. i actually thought about this somedays ago, asking myself how will my family access my wealth stored online without my keys. though it is risky, one has to look deeply at his or her family and pick out someone who can be trusted or leave a clue about their bitcoin account with a lawyer

Who shares something as confidential as a private key. I would never do that for any reason, no matter the close relationship between us.
