Denial Post?  Why, I never expected such a thing.

^^ some of us knew what was up from the get .. alot of onlookers dont! They depend on the liquidity of the sentiment of the current maket!

So no its not a denial post .. its a warning to onlookers! Its save face in the community and if this and post like it remain a sticky than the less value such actions have on the community!  EVERYONE WILL KNOW ITS A MANIPULATION! NOT JUST THE REGULARS!!

We dont have to wait for someone to defend us we can defend ourselves! dialog and take steps..

Who is 'we' ? and what is it that we should be doing?

"Pissing in the wind" seems an appropriate metaphor.

Is Bitcoin open to value manipulation?

The current low market cap of Bitcoin means that any investor with deep enough pockets can significantly change/manipulate the rate. Is this a problem?

This is only a problem if you are investing in Bitcoin for short period of time. A manipulator can't change the fundamentals, and over a period of 5-10 years they will win over any short term manipulations.

Im not talking about breaking walls! im talking about a coordinated DDOS on charts , exchanges and forums like here! So there goes the first bit of nonsense youre yapping!

Coordinated DDOS sucks just as much as coordinated price manipulation. Like I said few people were complaining when the price was going up. Get over the emotion of it all and play the game or take your coins and fiat and go home. Chill before you blow a blood vessel.

WHAT CRASH! lolz.. There was only a crash if someone told you to jump and you said how high and jumped like alil b****!!! LOLZ

The chart disagrees. Recovery or not the price still crashed to less than 1/2 of what is was.

OP's right, the whole DDOS thing makes it fishy. And let's be honest, that's pretty much the only thing banksters, reptilians and illuminati combined could do against bitcoin.
Second that

We need to halt trading to stop the manipulators from profiting! We all play or nobody can play!

No we don't. I bet you thought it was all rainbows, kittens, and puppy breath when the "manipulators" came in with their big money and broke down 500,000-1,000,000 fiat walls time after time. That money doesn't last forever. Eventually they have to sell their coins and get back into fiat to be able to buy again and this is how they do it. Buy big, sell big. If you don't like the game, take your coins and go home.

There is some huge fleecing happening and people wont realize it untill the prices bounce back in a couple hours from now and all the panic selling people did was a HUGE manipulation to get coins out of your pocket.

I lost coins the first times I traded. You either learn how to play the game, learn that you suck at playing the game, or totally lose your ass. You can't save them all.

We have not crashed

Sure looks like one to me. Even if the price recovers back to where it was before all this, it's still a crash. Denial, river, Egypt, etc.

Im not talking about breaking walls! im talking about a coordinated DDOS on charts , exchanges and forums like here! So there goes the first bit of nonsense youre yapping!

the coins you lost when you were first trading wasnt BECAUSE OF MANIPULATORS DDOSING THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE!

YOU LOST YOURE COINS CAUSE YOU WERE IGNORANT AND DIDNT KNOW WHAT THE FEK YOU WERE DOING!!

AND THATS OK!!!

NoW all the noobs dont have that same opportunity to be A DUMB ARSE LIKE YOU DID !

WHAT CRASH! lolz.. There was only a crash if someone told you to jump and you said how high and jumped like alil b****!!! LOLZ
(im trying to school the noobs and save the face of bitcoin)

We cant all be labled scammers and manipulators!! There will be not bitcoin if we do!!

virtex now at 200$ btc china headed that way!!

People who were asleep will miss the whole thing and wake up to price the same or not far off from when they were last awake!!

Leaving only the people who sold in a panic to be the loosers!

You don't understand, the volatility is a nice feature, it drives out the weak hands and the bad daytraders. Bitcoin doesn't fuck around. The people who think this is the top of the bubble will be proven wrong again and again until they turn bull, and those who don't will have fun with their helicopter fiat when it is worthless. All's well that ends well.

Oh i understand! Its one thing to have volatility.. its another to cripple the markets and endanger future prospects because of  FORCED TEMPORARY volatility! Without the new $$ money or the noobs $$$ We have no growth!!

I 50% agree with the OP. I think MtGox and other exchanges are fooling themselves to think that a few kids with PCs can compete with the big boys. There should be no day trading except through licensed brokers. In fact, the Bitcoin prices should only be reported by the brokers as well. Let them deal with the brunt of the public interface. Having a website that is open to the public is just a painted target for DDOS attackers. It would be better to have many brokers open to the public and a few exchanges only open to brokers.

Point taken .. but a simply coordination by gox via its lag ... would be similar.

Lag greater than 5 min than all exchanges HALT trading!

ITS NOT THAT HARD TO COORDINATE!

the only way I can see to trade this exchange is to sell near the top and put in buy orders to catch the fall, it works for me and most likely this time next week the same will happen again

I don't even care about today's price trends - I only pay attention to weekly average. I'll decide in a week or two if this was an irrelevant moment of mass hysteria, manipulation, concrete correction, or the beginning of downtrend. Whatever the case may be, fundamentals still seem reasonably solid. Price doubling every few days is not healthy anyway, so I will be glad if we slowed down to allow for the growth and maturing of the infrastructure and legal framework. All is well. I am happy, especially because I snatched a few more coins from panic sellers today. In the long term, I see no reason for Bitcoin to not keep growing. It works, and it is a useful technology. The risks are presently minimal, mostly related to the open-ended questions of mining economics.

I've already stopped and pulled out ALL my BTC from all the exchanges!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7fvSYT7vhQY < This is what made me do it!

I'm moving to https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/dark-exchange-a-100-decentralized-p2p-exchange-27055 Dark Exchange.

Anyone with me? I'll do anything and everything in my ability to help users join!

I am just now re-downloading I2P, so this will be the first time I try Dark Exchange. I was going to work on coding something like it anyways, why not use something that's already there?

that video and what it is quoting is hilariously fake and poorly written. it is obviously from a non native english speaker with a shaky understanding of how btc or even an exchange works.

Yeah, I know it's weird. I've only had an hour of sleep last night, had to work most of today...and got to watch the drop for ~2 hours from my phone without the ability to sell anything. Talk about a bad day.
