We can expect zcash to hit the 1 billion USD market cap pritty fast.

I am looking forward to mining zcash and I am trying to buy all the AMD cards I can , if anyone is interested in selling then please PM me ASAP.
The guys from zcash-cloud.com and the zeropond guys are doing great work in setting up massive pools .

I think the amount of hashing power being aimed at block 1 will be ridiculous. I will be buying from both companies as they are both very well trusted at this point. I saw the futures market for Zcash is already at 100 USD each , the markets are already being made . zcash ... its a great time to be alive. goodluck everyone.

Hope that is true, mining profits are at a all time low so we need another coin to attract LOTS of miners.

You can buy the AMD cards from the Ebay or even Newegg. The price is quite reasonable there.

Why amd and dont nvidia ( gtx 1060/1070 ) ?

Nvidia is the best for mining low wattage and high power hash , high initial price it is repaid with a lower electricity bill .

For the Ethereum mining, the nVidia 1070 has the same efficiency as the AMD RX 480. There is no difference.

A part from the card's price....

This Linux bs pisses me of a bit.
Instaminers dont want everyone to mine from start.

You are right. The initial low mining rewards days should last 100 days instead of the planned 34 days.

and so... what's about this : (source -  genesis-mining)

Notice! x
*It is important to note that Zcash is a young technology, and no public GPU miner exists for it at this time. Genesis Mining is working hard to provide a GPU version in time to allow you to mine at the highest efficiency possible. In the unlikely event that Genesis Mining is not able to deliver the promised hashrate two weeks after expected Zcash mining start (28th of October 2016), you will be eligible for a full refund. We are very confident that we will deliver in time so that you can start mining from day 1. In addition, we will ensure that your leased GPU will mine with the best possible algorithm available at the mining start date and we expect that we will ultimately deliver a higher hashrate than currently advertised here.

There are no maintenance fees applied for Zcash mining plans.

That zero pound cloud mining is a scam, they fail to mention that the block reward for the first few weeks/months is very little. So you are paying a huge amount to mine almost nothing.
This is not true, they were upfront about that from the beginning (even offering a discount because of it).

What's more they are now sold out. They are very poor scammers indeed if they set a limit to how much money they wanted to steal.

Since Zcash is an open source, decentralized cryptocurrency, we believe that mining should be available to everyone, regardless of their access to specialized hardware
So they say, so will be  at the start of mining  will be possible only  on Linux (not on Windows and not on the iMac) Grin Grin Grin. That is it "decentralized cryptocurrency, we believe that mining should be available to everyone, regardless of their access to specialized hardware". Probably so, because Linux uses and my grandmother of 90 years Grin Grin Grin.

Well first of all Linux is software and not hardware, much less "specialized hardware". Second, Linux is freely available to download and install.

Frankly, the latest versions of Linux install about as easy as Windows, yes your Grandma could probably even do it if she were so inclined. Smiley

With the simple how-to guides on the ZCash forum, you can be up and running with a working ZCash wallet and mining on Testnet from a bare computer in less than 2-hours. How do I know? Because I just did it myself this past weekend and I do not consider myself a Linux expert by any stretch.

Considering the launch is more than 1-month away, this is ample time for even someone with zero Linux experience to have time get a rig up and running from scratch.

The choice of phrasing "available to everyone" is not the same thing as "no effort" nor does it imply there will be a easy button for the lazy.

I was just reading and thinking this myself, I may throw another SSD on one of my Windows Rigs, configure it for Linux and see where it goes at launch. Might be ahead of the game, might be a part of the shit storm; who knows what will come from this new coin.

I highly doubt you will make any money with their cloud mining, just like any other cloud mining out there.

For the first month ZCash will have a slow start and only 1/2 the normal coins will be generated to prevent, or at least minimize, insta-mining attempts.

Not saying ZeroPond is, or is not, a scam at this point, but they do point out the 1st month the fee is only 50% due to this very reason.

It is hard to say if it will be profitable or not at this point in time, much depends on if a GPU miners is available to the public before launch or not.

On October 28, 2016, the launch of Zcash will make ZEC coins available for mining. Since Zcash is an open source, decentralized cryptocurrency, we believe that mining should be available to everyone, regardless of their access to specialized hardware; anyone should be able to use a computer to “mine” by using open source software, and add more transactions to the Zcash ledger to get Zcash coins in return for their effort. By distributing the ability to perform mining, the Zcash network can be a more accessible and a truly community-supported cryptocurrency.

The only people who are going to make money on Zcash are the people who are mining it now.

YES people are mining now. It is way beyond my scope of computer literacy, but if you are very smart with computers you can get on the boat now.

No they are mining on the testnet now not the mainnet... So no real coins just test coins.
