What do you think? saw that on Telegram.

I have used Monero a lot and happy with it (some times very slow TPS tho..).

Ant other Privacy Coins out there?

Buy Verge it is the only coin with the possibility of buying porn content, so it's a bit useful  Grin Grin.

I think privacy coin trade will be very limited in the future. I don't put a lot into them.

If authorities will want to limit ML and other crime, they may demand strict KYC to exchanges and how much each individual can buy or sell. So it is going to be very difficult to cash in more than small amounts of privacy coins and value won't be able to grow. Mark my words, that is how it is going to be.

Z cash and Monero are probably the best and most reliable from those, Verge in my opinion is an outright scam, they had  a 51% attack a few weeks ago and their founder was asking for donations to announce a partnership. ( a pump and dump coin if there ever was one)

The revolutionary trading ecosystem
I don't think there is need for new Privacy coin, and what is becoming a concern for me is that all the values of these coins are going up and no one is actually using them. About the main topic now, for me Monero is the best Privacy coin in the space, Zcash is another one I like the technology behind it.

Assuming they have adequate privacy and security, aren't pure PoS coins like PIVX and spectrecoin just better than the rest? If PoW coins cannot provide added functionality, why have the additional cost?

Dash premined and centralized from the begining. Was pumped after news about new asics for him. With their money they could spend more money for marketing. PiVx if I remember right was dash fork and imho also have no future in long-term. Verge was pumped and overpriced now. I love zcash ) Buy in the bottom put x2 sell order and wait) sometimes it pumped) But if znark tech will be implemented in eth blockchain as it was promised it will kill almost all this coins.

DASH is indeed semi-centralized, PIVX should have future, I think part of the block rewards go to the devs for development.
Verge is really crap imho, Zcash also weird and not stable.

Problem with Vit83 statement is of course that Dash was never premined, which indicates that he either :

A : does not know what a premine is
B : knows what premine is and just lies about it anyways with regards to Dash

For those that want to know more about Dash early history : https://dashpay.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/OC/pages/19759164/Dash+Instamine+Issue+Clarification

I disagree about the semi-centralized or centralized argument with regards to Dash, it seems to be used more and more as the main reason to object to Dash : we cant find anything really solid to use against Dash so lets just
use centralization to attack it with.... and ignore the fact that Dash is by far the most decentralized project out there, due to its DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organisation) setup and its decentralized governance and budget system.

Well DASH did not had pure premine but a hack, "instamine" and owner ran tons of servers to mine like 20%-30% of current supply..

I give my vote to Monero and PIVX, maybe Verge too, But about Verge I cannot tell you anything and also how is verge privacy coin if he doesn't untrace... Zcash I heard it's not worth your time, while at the same time also dash isn't decentralized and what is Zcoin?

I have so much to read that I don't even know about all of them privacy coins, maybe I will look someday into that, but I choose the most interesting ones and the ones that are decentrallized... If it's centralized, I don't even bother to look, no matter how interesting...  for now Monero and PIVX are my favorites atm.

Scrape the bottom of the market cap barrel and you also have Phore and Zero

What's special there?

@Metros. But that was not the point of his argument. You know what Bulwak or cryptocoins like Electroneum are trying to do is to scam their victims into holding those coins by making them believe that they are as good or better than Monero.

What would happen if they bought at the top and then those coins crash with no hope of having their investments back? Those are real people out there, losing real money. We cannot have that kind of attitude.

Sure there are many scams out there, Bulwark team own like 1% of the supply so it's the most fair you can find out there..

There are also some "dark horses" in the private coins world. Two that I can mention is XLR and MUN. MUN has a very easy coin mix feature, if they continue with the development they have a chance to make it to the top players. XLR is Solaris, they have a zero-coin protocol built in feature (coming only April 13th) like PIVX, however they plan to open their own exchange, which is a good reason to hold or buy this coin right now. I don't really have a need to hide any of my coins, wish I had a substantial amount, maybe then I would have that need  Grin  As an enthusiast I studied the subject and came to the conclusion that the best protocol for that is zero-coin. Great idea, neat feature, a wide choice of coins running that protocol right now.

Of all the coins listed above, I think that the most normal coin is Monero, yes of course it is very much advertised, of course, it also has traces, but after all of the above, it is the most anonymous coin.

I am a long term hodler of Verge (XVG) and the team is working steadily to imrpove the coin. Also, they have a strong community and I thing there is nothing wrong hodling it. Monero is already to expensive (market cap is too high). Let's see what Bulwark will bring.

I feel like I am missing some mentions here like DeepOnion and CloakCoin which should be added to the list. All the coins mentioned (excpt Bulwark) are large to mid-caps and if you think Privacy sector will have a boom in 2018 I would look at the small cap coins. I think it will be a lot like how the ALTs surged in 2017 compared to BitCoin that the privacy small-caps will surge in comparison to Monero and ZCash. Take time and do your research into the small caps, such as Bulwark, DeepOnion, Cloakcoin and similar.

I have done my research and if I should choose one small-cap coin to go for it would be DeepOnion. The coin has a already launched a nice unique feature in DeepVault (unique among privacy coins), which is basically file verification on the blockchain. Next step is to release DeepProtocol (Stealth Addresses), which makes it possible to de-link your identity from the coins you receive, no single address will hold your coins and it will be ipossible for an outside observer to say which addresses belong to you. These are just the early steps in the project and that is when you need to get in, if you are looking for the bigger gains. You can find out more about Stealth Addresses in articles such as: Stealth Address upcoming and other DeepOnion features in the DeepOnion Forum and Webpage.

But as DataDash (Youtuber) says, don't put all your eggs in one basket, diversify a bit, find 2-3 privacy coins that you think have the tech to make it big. If the privacy sector booms then it is the small-caps that will have the biggest gains and if one of your choices is the correct one expect some nice returns.
I am not a financial advisor so this is just my views on the matter.

You should include Bitcoin Private. It looks like a pretty solid project with a great name, an interesting rebrand strategy and great programmers. Only it's a copy and past of Zcash.

it looks like a scam to me. i also never heard of it before but i only see some few copycats of bitcoin , such as bitcoincash , bitcon gold , ebitcoin, ebitcoincash , etc. but if we were talking about privacy coin , my best bet would still be monero because i already tried and tested it ever since it was introduced in the public and so far it didnt failed me to protect my privacy when doing important  transactions.

Yeah I agree a coin using "Bitcoin" on it is most likely a scam.

Moronic marketing from a development team that's designed to scam new ignorant victims in the cryptospace. Sometimes innocent threads like these is part of their strategy to get more attention.

Everyone be careful of Bulwark. But it's up to you if you don't want to listen. But be sure to blame only yourselves if you lose some of your money.

What's wrong with Bulwark? I just got a MN there.

Personally I'm invested in PIVX, cause I have the feeling they could pull a DASH this year.
There aren't many interesting PoS options besides PIVX in the privacy coin space.
XSPEC would be another on with stealth staking, but I don't hold any at this time.

What do you mean 'pull a dash'?

DASH made x100 in 2017, but I know repeating that is optimistic.
DASH had a market cap of 80 millions at the beginning of 2017, PIVX is at 340 millions now already, so give it a x20-30 if it reaches reach 10 billion in 2018.

I love PIVX the most, and he is very interesting, specially because of Pos I love it the most...  Yes Dash, I only hate Dash because one who has 50% of dash still can manipulate the price. I use decentralised coins, that's why we are here?...

PIVX is cool but staff/core members are not so pleasent. they are not friend upon new members.. that's a red flag for me.

How did we overlook SpectreCoin?

One of the most fully-featured privacy coins (if not the most) and the cap is a paltry 30mm...

How is the team? premine? team supply?
