Yea, why not. Buy coins from a for profit company in the united states

Did i also mention that the angel investors keep a large share of coins

Its getting stupid now, is this what we were here for?

Is a company going to start a decentralized currency now?

I think you may have confused Zcoin with Zcash. Both are different projects and Zcoin is only a clone.

So a fair warning to everyone. Zcoin is not Zcash.

Here is a quote of something I said in another thread.

Quote
I also find the Zcoin website funny. It is posing as if they are the ones who developed the Zerocoin protocol as you can read here http://zcoin.tech/index.html

But when you see who the people are behind Zcoin it is 2 asians http://zcoin.tech/about.html

I would be very careful in touching this coin. Have their developers or founders been on developer conferences and made talks? Also remember that they have the golden key in the trusted set up.

I will need to do more homework before I invest any BTC on this ICO. Thanks for your advice bbc.reporter

No problem. We as a community should take care of each other by sharing information and research even if it is as simple as reading a piece of new or article to discovering something new.

I bet some of the people here were tricked into thinking that zcoin is zcash. The questionable thing that the zcoin founders did is they are posing as if they have created the zcoin protocol by posting the testimonials of the known people of the cryptosphere. That is very clever of them and that makes it look fishy for me.

I'm not sure which of these coins that offer full anonymity can really do what they say llol there are lots of them already from XMR, SDC, ZCASH and NAV. are there really so much demand for these type of coin?

NAV has precisely zero anon tech...
They are promising some sort of side/sub chain obfuscation = new anon tech with no peer review...
The whole NAV thread looks like the world's most obvious Pump.

Anon is the flavor of the month... just like it was for a few months in 2014.

Why dont you ask yourself this 2 questions:
Do you want that every merchant you buy something from him knows how much money you have and where you got it?
Can non fungible currency survive?

When it comes to privacy in the vast realm of digital currencies, non-traceable software is a big deal. On September 25, ZCoin will launch the first cryptocurrency that utilizes the Zerocoin protocol, which promises full anonymity on the blockchain.

https://news.bitcoin.com/zero-knowledge-zcoin-launching-soon/

To be honest this really looks like a scam to me.

ZeroCoin was the original name of the first implementation of what is now called ZCash. This is so confusing that it invites users to mix up the two and maks this look like some kind of phishing scam.

Also the article makes no mention of ZCash as far as I can see. These guys actually developed the protocol.

Yeah it's the same Zerovert pump and dump scammer who premined a bunch and was the only one selling on exchanges before anyone else could mine any coins. The coin itself was supposed to be Zerocoin technology but guess they realized they can't do it and disappeared after dumping their premine.

why was zcash changed to Zcoin?
its not out yet but it seem to be knocked out already lol check its comparison on this thread https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/xmr-the-next-bitcoin-1620885

SDC might just grab the market of anonymity.
And that is the same coin? zcoin and zcash?

About the another thread just like this.

but this quote is made my mind is very bright and the two is just like contain same morals.
I don't make sense? You're the one shilling a shitcoin, but have "XMR the next bitcoin?" as the thread's title. Marketing by comparison doesn't work by comparing your competition to the market leader first. But I'm sure you know that putting SDC in the title is a quick road to Nowheresville ;p

I'm going to give your ICO a try i have never participated in one before but i have a good feeling about you! hope to see Komodo and Shadowcash both thrive plenty of room for multiple legitimate projects.

do you guy think this will be a match for monero and maybe replace it for the d-web? i remember that the anonymous part is stronger than monero, so every other anon coin will be obsolete after this will be released

Ill tell you what i believe , if the big guys of d-webs manage to hold a shitload of that , yes it will if no , then maybe it will take some time, atm i cant figure out which one is the legit shit zcoin or zcash !?

I skimmed this and it looks like it's just a Zcash fork -- same distribution model, same protocol flaw (trusted setup), different mining algo. I think it's just a copy/paste.

We need to at least address the trusted setup, and any fork should reduce the founders reward (Zooko and co developed it)....

Anyone interested in doing a fork of Zcash to fix this shit that isn't just a copy/paste scam?

If this still has the trusted set up then this is nothing but another possible scam from the founders and developers. The trusted set up is still being questioned in the original zcash but their development team have not proposed a change for this "flaw". Maybe this is the strategy of the original zcash's team so that if someone decides to clone their project just like what zcoin did they will have to go thru the trusted set up making the clone a questionable coin. Smiley
