I think that if there will be a zero fee in every transactions that we do, it will take a long long time because its not prioritize unlike does who pay fees that their transactions will only takes without an hour and not days. I do think having fees also helps them to improve their system in which ever wallet you are using and the fees are not that really high. It totally depends on you I also see some wallets who gives you options on if what kind of transaction you do. Paying no fees will not unconfirmed your BTC forever but I think that It will take a long time days or weeks, who knows how many days it will take. I believe that fees do help wallets to improve their transactions I actually vote for it.

This question was discussed on the forum not once and the reply is te same as before - zero fees is a bad idea and better to not try it at all, cause of your transaction may naver been provided.

I remember in last year the cheapest fee for creating transaction is 10.000 satoshi, only user Coinbase in this time can sending Bitcoin free fees (but not as my mean, Coinbase has pay fees helps user in first time). If you try sending Bitcoin in current without fee, I think your Bitcoin will comeback your wallet after 72 hours can't get confirmation Grin

Earlier there were some wallet which was serving Thier service to make transaction of the bitcoin without fee ( paying from own pocket) ,but here currently no one wallet are giving free of fee transaction of btc .
And you will set the fee manually to 0 Satoshi then I don't think that it can get confirmed , Here I am not guessing anything but about one month ago I found a transaction ( made about 2 years ago) with the fee of 1 Satoshi but even yet in the current time it didn't get confirmed because I think owner of the bitcoin don't know how to handle this mistake or anything else may be .
So you can understand easily that you will take a big risk if will try to transfer without fee , may be it can back but if it get proceed then I think you will only loss your btc .
My recommendation for everyone to send btc atleast with the minimum fee of 0.00001btc ( so that viabtc.com can help you to accelerate )

You should specify what Bitcoin wallet you are talking about. In many Bitcoin wallets you wont be able to set zero fee easily, or at all. If you do, dont expect the transaction to be confirmed anytime soon.
Yes I think the local wallet that I was using last year doesn't really need a fee to send bitcoin,
Whenever I would sent 0.01 or any amount I don't really have to pay some fee I would also receive the same amount that I have sent,
Just hope that it could be back to being zero fee.

If the transaction is not too full on the bitcoin network I think it might be confirmed and put in the block, I think you only wait until 3 days to see your transaction.

yes it will be cancelled if it remain more than 72 hours in the mem pool,  but only if enough nodes confirm it first, and then itì's rejected after this time run out, or you can cancel it manually in the client, i think that zero fee worked good in the old days when the fee was 10k satoshi, now it's better to not do that

what about this transaction?
confirmed after 801 min or 13 days

801 minutes is NOT 13 days. It is 13 hours. Well below the 72 hour mempool limit.
13 days would be more like 18720 minutes.

Plus this transaction was broadcast 3 years ago, fees were much lower then.

It depends on your wallet but many different wallets send the bitcoins back if they rest unconfirmed from 3 to 7 days maximum. If you want to send bitcoin with zero transaction fee you can use Xapo wallet but it is a wallet which is managed by third party and they can decide to shut down your account anytime. Always use desktop wallets or wallets in which you control the private keys.

The transactions with no fees would take some days to a week to get confirmed, it will depends upon Miner's goodwill and that is rare to happen. Most probably within some days your transaction would be off the network and balance will revert back to your wallet. That is why it is never advisable to make transactions with no fees.

If the network is congested you could always have people keep rebroadcasting the transaction but honestly just pay a small fee and eventually it'll go through. Even 10 or 20 sats/byte will be fine to be confirmed at some point.

I dont think will happen when the miners get a bitcoin . Maybe the good option instead of zero fee why not it will decrease again the transaction fee like 20k satoshi for sure many people become happy because we are experiecing high fees when we are sending bitcoin. And it depends on how much bitcoin you send . For sure if transaction fee is zero they did not confirm even you wait few days.

When I tried sending bitcoin a few months ago when the network was super congested,  I had a transaction stuck for about 3-4 days, and then it got sent back to my wallet.   It could very well be that someone would confirm a zero fee transaction, but it's going to take a hell of a long time if it even goes through.   If not, it'll just sit there until it finally makes it back home to your wallet.

Try it, let us know how that works out for you.

I think it will be back but it takes a long time. The absence of fees is never going to happen
Not true. For some strange reason this is always presented as something obvious by supporters of blockstream / core vision of bitcoin but it is another piece of misinformation. Miners handle transactions and they were supposed to be remunerated via block rewards only (not fees) for many years to come.

because there is a fee to maintain the operations of the managers
