If you want all on 1 rig and 1 power source it could be tricky to connect all risers.
I would go for 6 to 8 GPUs each rig.

guys on the other hand, id like to know what kind of a PSU needed for 5x 3070s
and 5x 3060Ti ??...

thanks,
Go with 1200watt high quality power supply, can be a little costly but they rocks, it's always smart if your power supply have some room left when working though 1000 watt should work but maxing out power supply isn't good and could shorten it's life

Its simplemining. GMiner 2.49. GMiner 2.46 / 47 is a bit faster.
I didnt check if i can go higher now with the 2.49. Dont find the time for it....

I don't know Linux and I am not good at it , but the number above are normal number for that card  with t-rex & windows.

540 Kh/watt is my target when tuning the card with afterburner
Some card can do better but all of this series can do it at least in my 10 pcs experience.
But I would say Bravo! because I have tried Hive and retreat back to Win7 to do it.Probably because I'm not good enough but he is.

That's great numbers indeed !!
I have to raise my 3070 to 125W to barely get to 60mhs with PhoenixMiner using Easy Mining Os.

Start with 7900 on the mem. Raise it slow after a few days (+100) until you get some errors.
Mine have 112 Watt for 60.60 Mh/s. Not worth the stress to get 2 MH/s more for maybe 10 or 20 % more power.
Try the latest GMiner. It has some benefits generating the dag file.

+------+----+-----+-----------+----------+----+-----+-----+-------------+
GPU Temp Fan Speed Shares Core Mem Power Efficiency
+------+----+-----+-----------+----------+----+-----+-----+-------------+
GPU0 41 C 0 % 60.34 MH/s 3411/0/0 1440 7880 112 W 538.77 KH/W
GPU1 38 C 0 % 60.62 MH/s 3368/0/0 1395 7900 112 W 541.21 KH/W
GPU2 39 C 0 % 60.62 MH/s 3290/0/0 1380 7900 113 W 536.45 KH/W
GPU3 36 C 0 % 60.61 MH/s 3287/0/0 1380 7900 112 W 541.15 KH/W
GPU4 57 C 50 % 59.16 MH/s 3206/0/0 1410 7700 120 W 493.03 KH/W
301.35 MH/s 16562/0/0 569 W 529.61 KH/W

Last one is a 3060ti. Have got next Zotacs to replace.

is that windows or Smos or hiveos or ethos

those are good numbers  60 mh and 113 watts is very good.

Just a pure white zotac 3070 graphic card for 1200$ in my country and I'm using it's to mine ethereum right now with good result, 60mh at first and after switching between miners and finding the sweet spot for ETH mining the card is now doing 63mh per second, it's a good gpu for mining

Hi !
I'm having issues on finding the right OC on different 3070 models using Phoenix Miner maybe I should change to Trex ?
Would love to get some of your feedback on what you encoutered in order to find the right combo miner/pool !

Actually an 850 watt psu can do four 3070 or

2 3070 and 1 3090

my stats about show the rig and two 3070 along with one 3090 pull about 600 watts.

which is a decent load on a 850 watt platinum psu.

I did a video on the rig.

seriously a 1000w is enough for 4x 3070s ??!...

Yes 1000w PSU is enough for 4x3070's

The RIGHT answer should be: Yes. BUT only if you underclock/undervolt your card. They are rated up to 270W per card without any clocking, which can be too much for a 1000W PSU.

Please before you posting something make sure you are right , or you have some clue what are you talking about.
If you don't have any real life experience with mining, or VGA cards power usage at all , please at least use Google , ( Google can be your best friend to educate yourself, before posting on this forum.)

Just CLICK HERE and you can find out how easy is to learn about RTX 3070 card power consumption. Its take less than a second and you can have over a million page about RTX 3070 power usage Smiley

And when you get some knowledge about mining, VGA cards power consumption, feel free to come back to this forum, and start to give advice for newbies  Wink Grin Cheesy

So back to the original question Grin: "Yes 1000w PSU is absolutely enough for 4x3070's"

guys on the other hand, id like to know what kind of a PSU needed for 5x 3070s
and 5x 3060Ti ??...

thanks,

This all depends on A) how many PCI-e connectors you need and how many the PSU provides. And B) on the power draw of your GPU's on the specific algorithm you want to mine. Check minerstats for the stats you want to know and calculate for your self. Its not that hard. Try not exceeding 60-80% of the PSU total power. And always buy named brands, never go cheap on PSU's.

This card is very good, it's energy efficiency I could have buy two RTX3070 instead of buying 4 gtx1660 super, the two RTX will net me 120-124MH at 240 watts while the 4 gtx1660 super is netting me 126MH at 320 watts, as you can see the RTX wins here, less power consumption is what I needed the most because I'm running on solar power

i managed to find 3060Ti for 127$ Less, but the problem is i already ordered a couple of 3070s, so can i mix both 3060 Ti and 3070 on the same rig ? how to go about nVidia drivers with two different cards on the same OS ?...

thanks,

yes smos will do that 3070+3070+3090

what is smos ?!?...

Simplemining

https://simplemining.net/

a mining os for  a usb stick like this stick

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BPKKYHY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?

You can access your miners from any pc in the world. or from your cell phone.

you can switch back to windows on the rig by pulling the usb stick and plugging the hard drive or ssd back into your pc

although my rigs just mine I do not run windows with mining

here is his thread.

Any brand of gpu will work for mining, even if it's fanless or water cooling it doesn't matter, they will perform the same way as other graphics card, as per what type of power supply can power 5x 3070 a 1000watt power supply will do fine
