See you in May 2022!

Damn!

It didn't go as expected, but this is particularly difficult to swallow:

Stopping at only three days from a new record!
I got distracted preparing a dinner with friends (yes, I manage to have a life outside of the forum).
I had an epiphany the morning after, when I felt something was missing...
Ok I am already building again, so... see you in.... (Fillippone checks Google sheets...) October 2023!

That’s really got nothing to do with the Merit Dashboard though...

Nevertheless, I can see your Merit counter from within my forum account, and since you seem to be logged-in to your account at the time you took the screenshot, my guess is that it’s got something to do with the plug-in you’re using (i.e. I believe it’s this one – perhaps it’s one of the on/off configuration parameters).

Yeah that might be happening due to those configuration as I am also able to see his merit stats with 195 under his profile so he need to switch the parameters to once again be visible on his account what I think.

And if this continues again you can ask for the help from the community by creating a thread asking for help and you will get it resolved but most probably as @DdmrDdmr has mentioned this is extension plug in issue you are using so try it once.

You’re right. Since I don’t scrape all forum posts, I base this part of the information on the Dashboard on the official forum Stats (the counters on the main page). Specifically, I compare the numbers at the end of month, to those at the end of the previous month.

Whilst the above is adequate when there is no significant retrospective post deletion (self or mod), it does not reflect the data properly when it happens, since deletions will reflect in the month’s data when, in fact, it may be the action of deletion actions performed this month over posts in prior months. This is likely what has happened on your local board on last month’s readings, rendering last month’s data void. This happens frequently on the Russian local board, where the data is often affected by this effect, and others resort to other sources of information for the post count.

@DdmrDdmr, looks like this is the first time I've seen the number of posts on local Indonesian boards experiencing too many minuses in various sub boards. I'm a bit confused to find the reason why, because while there were 835 posts made during the month of July on a local board based on the ninjastic.space tool by 74 users so I have to make two charts about this for the month of July. Re: [CHART] Tampilan Bulanan Aktivitas Lokal Board Bahasa Indonesia

Can I get some of the reasons?

I'm happy to see that 3 local board Bahasa Indonesia users managed to rank up during June 2022. There are two new Legendary (kawetsriyanto and Falconer) and 1 Hero (mamesso). All three of these users are quite active on the local boards with their contributions, so we should be glad they rank up last month. Congratulations to the three users above, they deserve to move up the rankings. I hope there are more users who can rank up after this on the local board Bahasa Indonesia.

In addition, I also saw an increase in the distribution of merit that occurred during April to June. That increase is something we were hoping for after earlier in the year we kept the 500+ merit.

I’ve updated the Dashboard to resolve the 25 buggy merit discrepancy. The difference should therefore only be the 168 deleted merits.

We both know how to have fun on a lazy June Saturday afternoon, after all!

I had the suspect it had to do with the deleted posts. I think I will go with the "Merit per Post" tab, not to include deleted posts.

Thanks for taking care of this issue and fixing it.

The Merit Senders/Receivers tab includes all boards + a virtual “deleted” board, which is not present in the Merit/post tab nor calculus. That accounts for what should be all the difference in the figures, but debugging the info I found some other minor issue:

•   May has a total of 168 Merits awarded to now deleted posts.

•   Bitcoin Discussion in Merit Senders/Receivers: 2.147 (correct)
•   Bitcoin Discussion in Merit per post: 2.150 (wrong)

•   Trading Discussion in Merit Senders/Receivers: 879 (correct)
•   Trading Discussion in Merit per post: 901 (wrong)

So the difference is down to:

24707 in Merit Senders/Receivers
   -168 Deleted
      -3 Bitcoin Discussion
    -22 Trading Discussion
-----------------------------
24564 in Merits per post

Now the deleted is a difference in inclusion criteria and calculus between the tabs, as stated. But the other 25 Merits were strange, and likely related to the order of scripts in my updates this month. I’ve rerun some of the scripts and it gives the correct results now.

I’ve updated the Dashboard to resolve the 25 buggy merit discrepancy. The difference should therefore only be the 168 deleted merits.
