It must be said directly. Governments do not benefit from honest crypto services. They provide the opportunity to anonymously receive and send cryptocurrency, bypassing banks and regulators.
A fraudulent company like Freewallet is still continuing its activities, the government is not taking any action against them, if the government had taken action against the frauds, then those involved with Freewallet would be in jail now. But we're still not getting any news, which is not good news for the crypto community as the victims scammed by Freewallet are getting frustrated. Freewallet is at the top of google search results which is more dangerous for crypto users.

What annoys me is that Government that claims to protect users or investors from fraud never seem to act or crack down such proven scams as soon as possible but will go ahead to crackdown or fine exchanges that don't even scam people under the context that they are not "regulated".

I have same feeling when someone says that Freewallet is safe or reliable. There were several similar comments on other websites. In some posts users even say that Freewallet provides the fastest transactions and has the lowest fees. Don't think that a real user would make such comment
In most cases, those are just shills, don't even take their words with any grain of salt. We had so many of them here shilling a scam website like 1xbit even when other members were genuinely opening scam accusations against the same site.

Today my freewallet account has been verified, and freewallet has refunded all my fund. my problem solved. thank you all for the support.
This looks like a gimmick to me, your account becomes verified and also your funds are refunded and you are so active on a thread you are not the OP even more than the OP itself. Well, no congratulations for you from here as it looks to me like a deception, and as your username is a "myth," it is possibly not real. It is not even real to me unless you have the proof all published here. I mean the undeniable ones.

I don't see a good reason why experienced Bitcoin users would say that freewallet is the next to use. Another victim lurking, beware!

Was freewallet.org promoted here?   If so, probably easier to join my lawsuit than start your own.

Glad to here that something is finally being done about Freewallet. They would have been busted 3 years ago if they continued to try and steal Elon's money.

Unfortunately, I'm not Elon Musk. And I don’t have any opportunity for media promotion.

Lol it's indeed not that easy for us common folks.

You probably need to hire a marketing team and/or some relatively big names in crypto space to have a better chance at getting viral.

Yes, I understand this. But maybe someone already had some sort a court verdict or something similar? Any chance to get money back this way?

Never seen one as well, if there is one, it's likely news outlets would have picked it up. It's understandable since this can be complicated specially with victims residing on different countries plus legal fees not being cheap.

I've seen @stafstor actively fighting freewallet though -- not necessarily in a suit, you may wanna get in touch! see profile: https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/stafstor-3568746

I have never seen any form of court battles from the victims. What I have mostly seen is them taking the war to the forums and social media like Reddit or twitter. Often times, if the complaint or tweet went viral, they (free wallet scammers) would be forced to get out their cave and act.

A perfect example was when they tried to block Elon Musk's funds, and he went out and posted about what had happened on Twitter  Grin

I'm interested in the experience of filing an official claim against the owners of Freewallet. Has anyone already tried to get their money back in a similar way?
I don't think anyone has gotten their money back this way yet, because the amount of complaints against Freewallet remain unsolved, so no matter how many claims you make against them, they don't refund their customers' funds. Their reputation on this forum is very bad, as their reputation is bad now they can't actually operate successfully on this forum anymore. But they continue their activities in other ways and scam the crypto users. So expecting something better from them is actually a misconception.

Thanks for the info.
looks like this guy has also organized this scam (Freewallet) Dmitreys dad Alexey Gunyashov and vasilli meschyerokov. I got the info from reviews on trustpilot and socialgrep.
https://socialgrep.com/search?query=dmitrey

We found this info about potential Freewallet owners:

Quote
Real founder of this project is Dmitry Gunyashov: From open sources we managed to find out such information about Gunyashov's alleged contacts and connections.Registered address:194354, SANKT PETERSBURG CITY, ENGELSA PROSPECT, 111, 1, 516 Address of actual residence :Lisbon (Portugal), formerly London (UK)Phone:+79219965549E-mail:   [email protected] media pages and accounts:   https://www.facebook.com/dmitry.gunyashov https://www.instagram.com/dmitrygunyashov
Vasily Meshcheryakov (Vasily Vyacheslavovich Meshcheryakov) is less known than Gunyashov. This guy is hardly the leader of the group, rather he is Freewallet's "right hand" and head of the PR department. But Meshcheryakov's activities are very diverse. He is not only a successful swindler, but also a real treasury thief, taking money from the budget. We managed to find such information about the current whereabouts and contacts of Vasily Meshcheryakov:Registered address:ST. PETERSBURG, ST. SAVUSHKINA, 125, bldg. 2, kv. 119Phone:   +79319693585Other phones (may be outdated):+79217772599, +79117116504, +79139661744E-mail:   [email protected], [email protected]   Current place of residence:   Presumably at the place of registrationWe hope that this information will help law enforcers to investigate the crimes committed by Gunyashov, Meshcheryakov and his associates. There is no doubt that both Cryptopay and Freewallet are fraudulent sites that work according to the same scheme. It is possible that they are involved in other projects as well.

There should have been a some sort of recoupment for those 2 years, and all because it was their mistake, not yours.
Having someone operate with your money for 2 years should not be free of charge.
Happy that you got back your finds and hope that the lesson is learned.

I think so, because they hold my fund with a very long period of time. Thanks brother, for all the support.
