Messi has been with Barcelona for a long time, he will have trouble adapting to the new team. There are many differences between the strategy of Barcelona and the strategy of PSG. However, since Messi has played with Neymar before, I believe it will not take long for Messi to adapt to PSG. Moreover, all the players of PSG are experienced enough. It shouldn't be too much of a problem to adapt to such an experienced squad.
It will not be hard for a good player to get adaped, if Messi adapt, it is not because he has played with Neymar before in Barcelona, it is normal for players to adapt, players like Messi should give up to standard, but what I am thinking about is that he has never played before in any league or any club, he has been in Barcelona still his childhood, but I know he should be professional and good enough to play better in PSG or any other strong club, all I can say is for us to expect the best of Messi this season, we should expect the best of PSG.
Brest is a small team and this match is not really important for PSG so I think that Mauricio Pochettino doesn't need to use his super star players for this match. Moreover Lionel Messi would certainly want to make his debut with a good performance therefore he needs to be as trained as possible.

The match is definitely important. But Brest is the easy opponent. So even if PSG forms a slightly weaker squad, they will win. Because even though the squad is a bit weak, but this squad is capable of defeating any strong team. It is certain that Mbappe will be on the team. He alone can knock down Brest's defense.

Until now there is no single official source indicating that Messi or Neymar will play that game against Brest. Pochettino already indicated that he is studying whether to include Messi or not in that game. Comparing to the previous match and for the moment, only Di Maria, Verratti, Donnarumma, Marquinhos will be additionall ypresent with the team in Brest.
Brest is not a big club in Lique I so PSG can beat them without those stars. Messi just came back after a long vacation and he needs one month of training to play in real matches. PSG are powerful and they don't need Messi only for Lique I. They need a healthy Messi for Champions League.
If there is no miracle in the match then PSG will easily defeat the Brest team. My guess is that PSG will win 2-0. Although Messi, Neymar, Ramos and Donnarumma will not perform in thi match, but PSG has good enough players without them. Mbappe, Icardi and Di Maria are enough for the attack against Brest. PSG will easily win today .
I'm waiting for Messi and Neymar to play but the news says they will be out and will be watching in the stands then when will they play? whether in week 4 or 5 it seems that Messi is still being rested. I've been waiting for this since Messi has officially joined PSG.

Brest has had a draw before this can also be a threat to PSG because it should not be careless to underestimate it, even though we already know that PSG have a myriad of quality players but when the game progresses it can be difficult.
But I'm sure it will be another PSG win.

Yes you're right, it has even been confirmed officially that they won't participate to this match unfortunately Undecided
But according to the french newspaper Le Parisien, they might play sunday 29th august against Reims Smiley

When all of them are available for matches, PSG will have two powerful squads that are able to beat all clubs in Lique I. They will complete Lique I 10 rounds before the final days, I believe so.

The appearance of Donnarumma damages the solid position of Keylor Navas. However, having Navas as a substitute goalkeeper is great for PSG. They will have a safe goal with official or substitute goalkeeper.

Brest - Paris SG. For some reason I don't hesitate to bet on many options for PSG, because I believe an absolute victory for PSG. Win by 2 goals, 3 goals or maybe more I'm still very confident PSG will win easily here. However, I don't think Brest is an easy team to beat because if I look at the previous two matches then of course it's not a bad result for Brest. But yes, after all the current opponent is PSG which I think Brest will still find it difficult to hold on to a draw like in the previous two matches because in fact, almost all the matches between them are only one draw and the rest PSG can win.

Tomorrow evening, PSG are going to play an away match against Brest. And it will be Messi's and Neymar's first match this season. I guess that there will be many people who are watching this match. It's about Messi of course. Otherwise Brest are not a tough opponent. Many people are curious about Messi's first performance. I've no doubt that PSG will win this match.

Oh, I was really hoping to see especially Messi in this game. And the supporters must be furious about this. I would like to ask why Pochettino doesn't prefer them still, but actually it's not hard to predict the answer. It's all about the lack of match fitness. And I hope that Messi and Neymar both gain the match fitness quickly.

Yes it will be a show to see psg at full power with messi and neymar and its a good test because we have seen brest in the first two games they are not easy to beat they got a point away against lyon and they played really well so psg team need to be alert and not give the ball control to brest team and they need to be efficient in the finish.

I think the probable squad of PSG is -Navas; Hakimi, Kehrer, Kimpembe, Diallo; Pereira, Herrera, Wijnaldum; Draxler, Icardi, Mbappe. We haven't seen any news about Donnarumma's debut yet and coach Pochettino hasn't said anything about Donnarumma yet. This I guess Donnarumma, Ramos, and Messi's debut will be together.

With the help of Neymar, Messi will be able to adapt to the PSG team very quickly. Not just Neymar. Messi has experience playing with Icardi and Di Maria. Messi's bonding with Di Maria is good. On the other hand, since Ramos is from La Liga, Messi will not have a problem adapting to him.
The experience of playing as a national team player is also very influential, especially for players like Messi. it's certain that even if you adapt first, I'm sure it won't take long considering that some of the players like you said are very prominent and can definitely help messi to adapt, besides that don't forget one more name, namely Paredes who still has the blood of the same country.
at least this makes messi mentally more prepared.

Monaco had a really unlucky start to the season. They finished the league as the 3rd in the last season. But now, we see them having big problems on winning matches. So far, they have played 5 official games. And they were able to win only two of them which were against Sparta Prague in the CL qualification round. They got one draw and one loss in the Ligue 1. And they lost to Shakhtar in the CL qualification final two days ago.

But I think that it is time for them to get a win against Lens this week. I hope that they can pull themselves together soon.

I agree. As the strategies of these two teams are not the same, Messi may need some time to adapt. But having Neymar alongside him will help him a great deal to start playing like always at the earliest. I wonder whether the coach will prefer to put Messi in the starting eleven right away. I feel like he will.

My condition is the same as yours. I used to look at the highlights and statistics of Ligue 1 matches to make bets. But after Messi joined PSG, I decided to enjoy all the upcoming matches of PSG. I don't want to miss Messi's gameplay, I hope I don't find it boring to enjoy PSG matches.
I always enjoy Messi's style of playing. I bet, many people are also now interested in Ligue 1 because Messi is now in PSG. I can't wait to see him play he first match in Ligue 1. With Messi, PSG will probably win the league title this season, and might also win their first Champion League trophy. I don't see Lille winning again this season, they lose their last match against Nice and haven't won any match since the season started.

On the 21st PSG squad will play against Brest. This is Brest's home match. I hope in this match we can see the Neymar-Mbappe-Mesi trio playing together. We have been waiting so long to see it. Di Maria has played right forward in PSG for so long. Messi will now play in the same position. Di Maria will probably play as a midfielder in the future. I haven't seen any news yet on whether we will see Ramos in this match.

I'm not sure if Messi will play against Brest. Messi will make his PSG debut in the away match against Reims on August 29. PSG authorities have not officially made any announcement yet. However, I have seen in several news portals that he will be on the field on the 29th of PSG.

It's just a matter of time before he'll eventually make his debut, according to goal he was said to be in line for the game against Brest. However, the coach might just be taking his time and not willing to rush him to make his debut.

The coach may be giving them time to understand PSG's style of play. Since Messi and Ramos have been playing in La Liga for a long time. They are not familiar with the strategy of Ligue 1 or PSG. So maybe they're taking the time to understand the style of play. I look forward to seeing the friendship between Messi and Ramos.

Life, Love and Laughter...
Honestly, I don't really pay attention to the Ligue 1. But since the departure of Messi and Ramos to PSG, I'm a little bit interested in seeing PSG play. If you look at the squad inside, they are a team with many stars. It can be said that PSG is a dream team plan even though some players are not young anymore. Last year PSG was in second place in the final standings, having one point difference with Lille. Actually, if you look at the composition of PSG's players, they are more favored, but it seems they are not lucky. This year I think PSG will win the Ligue 1.
Lol.  Yup.  I was about to say that we’ll be seeing this thread get bumped more now that Messi is playing in the farmer’s league.  Cheesy  This thread was mostly ignored by the regs of the gambling section from what I have seen.

And PSG will prolly be the favorite to win the CL at around 1.90 - 2.05 in the outright.
Last I checked it was around 3.5+ in most places, and that is good odds honestly because I believe there is a good chance they may actually end up winning. However just because the odds are good for what the real odds are, that doesn't mean that we should wait 8 months to get 3.5 odds back, I can go ahead and do that a lot easier in a week, just bet on 2-3 clubs that is favored to win a game and you get that anyway.

Only reason why people gamble on PSG to win UCL is the fact that 3.7 or 3.8 whatever odds there is, is not "favored to win" in regular games, it is usually the underdogs, so you get a 3.7+ bet while betting on the high favorites to win at the same time which is unique and that is why people bet on it. I do not know what else to say, sure Messi did played a role in PSG getting more famous but they were already getting quite good amount of players for free as well, they would still be a very high favorites even without Messi.

I haven’t checked the lines for the outright in the CL tbh.  It just feels like it’s gonna be close to 2.00 if I think about it.  But of course, it’s just my guess more than anything.  But yeah just looked...  And it looks like it’s at 3.7 at FJ and Stake.  Not sure at other books but you could shop for a slightly better line.

Based on the news I read, reported by Sky Sports, Mauricio Pochettino has set a date for Lionel Messi debut. Messi will make his first appearance when Paris Saint-Germain face Reims in the Ligue 1 match at Stade Auguste-Delaune II, 29 August.

Maybe we will be a little longer to see Sergio Ramos play with PSG, because he is undergoing treatment for an injury.

I think the debut of Sergio Ramos, Messi, and Donnarumma will be together. We can see these three players on the field together. Also, Neymar and Di Maria will probably not play in any match before August 29. We will see the main squad of PSG this season against Reims on August 29.
