I used to have paypal account that has not been verified because I am missing the things it needs to be verified.  I created a paypal account  years before I known bitcoin.  I was in the process of verifying that account because Im getting more active in online activities.  Lucky I known bitcoin before i send my details for verification.  From that time, I forgot about my paypal account and use bitcoin for all my transaction online.

I use paypal because I can even recharge my prepaid cellphone and I also use to buy stuffs in ebay, and many other stores around tje globe where I won't "trust" fully in their credit card payment system, so paypal is pretty cool because (many can contest but it's my opinion) they have a very secure system and time to time they're upgrading their system security, so it's cool. I just don't like the "fee part" but many times they don't charge. But nothing compares to my precious Bitcoin loved system   Grin

I don't have Paypal , not because of bitcoin but simply because Paypal doesn't accept residents of my country
in general if you are able to have paypal then you should use it , cause it's popular and you can use it anywhere

at the moment both of BTC and PP have positives and negatives

the thought of a good friend. All it does is basically going to be a good thing if we can think of something good thing about bitcoin and also paypal. It's all something of a good thing, because the bitcoin and also paypal has a positive side and a negative side. That's something for all good things, so use the bitcoin and paypal also suit your needs or look for more profitable

Sure. Have nothing to do with each other. For more I don't spend bitcoin. So needed for sure have PayPal.

I have both. But I have stopped using PayPal for some time now because of the scams that were being done online.
Even in real estate... there was a "client" that needed to buy a house listed online.  This client then requested that if she pays the whole amount - even the transfer of her furniture from Europe to an Asian country be already included. This client pretended to be really busy and could not attend to this urgent transfer.
The scam was to send to the real estate agent the amount for the house and the needed transfer of the furniture.
Then the scammer would request the real estate agent to send through WU the money to the company that will handle the furniture.

They will even email a screen shot of PAYPAL deposit...
It was a scam.  The money that was supposed to be sent to the courier... perhaps more than $3K ( added on top of the house payment) is the scammer herself.

I caught one.  And I was very disappointed when this happened because this was again a scam where PAYPAL was used.

I have never make a transaction yet in Paypal, either sending or receiving... I wonder how did I made my account there because my cousin ask a help from me to make a new account for him bur unfortunately it is now asking for the Identify Document like National ID which is mandatory. One more thing, I can't use my Paypal account because I still don't have a credit card for transacting unlike in bitcoin I can receive and send money freely.

You can actually use Paypal even without uploading an ID or putting your credit card details. You can receive and send money. You can even use an unverified Paypal to buy stuffs online. I get paid using Paypal back then and even without verifying, I was able to use Paypal with no problems at all. There are people that gets their account frozen for 180 days because they're not verified but mine didn't get frozen or something. I'm still using it and everything's fine.

Yes I did have Paypal even before knowing bitcoin existed, generally because it is widely the only payment accepted across many sites, but I do see bitcoin appearing and be accepted in some sites, If I see one, I will use bitcoin option no doubt otherwise the latter.
yeah I also use paypal though I am a bitcoin user, there is nothing wrong in it, because it helps me to buy paypal purposes that can not be bought using bitcoin
I'm personally not sure why this would even be a question to be honest, it should be obvious to most people that you can do far better if you're using more methods of payment and not handicapping yourself to just one, i.e. not using only PayPal or Bitcoin. I certainly would want to use both (and do), because otherwise I couldn't get things from Amazon or Ebay. It's really not as simple as just "x" or "y".

Before I knew bitcoin Paypal was my primary mean of buying and selling things online. Once I knew bitcoin though I immediately migrated to such wonderful form of money (digital currency) which I can keep in my PC and I to be the sole controller of my money(not like in Paypal where others can sometimes decide for you), no restrictions in bitcoin.

Having said that I still have my paypal which I occasionally use to buy something from ebay or to sell something there as ebay accepts only Paypal as a form of payment.

But since I have started using bitcoin as my primary mean of online money ,Paypal is sitting in dust until I use it 1-4 times a year maximum.
