So what's the deal with allpoolz? It keeps restarting on me and it's reporting that we haven't found a block in almost an hour (and cgminer says that I've found 2 in that time).

Agreed.  I never got a single orphan.  And there was a very small premine for very reasonable bounties.  

I would correct the OP to the correct block that coins were awarded though.
