just want to add a fun fact:

currently Panini is auctioning the NFL Draft Night Edition (just digital cards).

last week was week1 with Joe Burrow, draft pick no. 1, was sold still for a solid 3-digit USD-amount, all others were in the low hundreds or even for a double-digit amount.
minutes after this auction the buyers already tried to resell the digital cards via public auction, of course, starting with a x-factor, without success.
during the entire week, the starting prices for these auctions were decreased every day, even to the original double-digit price, still without success.

this week was week2, with no special draft-highlight-pick; six cards were auctioned. the first one was sold for the lowest double-digit amount, but still silence about the remaining cards - the sharks have tasted blood ... and after the final price drop all other 5 cards were sold for USD 0.01 each  Cheesy

Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy what a successful campaign for Panini!  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

pretty sure that the next weeks (31 cards still to come) will be as successful as this week  Cheesy

I see now why they have this section in the "Blockchain" area on the Panini site.
Can now redeem their "autograph" cards.

(...) i wonder if ppl are keeping the digital versions or selling both when they sell.

hi yimfinity,

I asked my panini contact and he replied as follows:

Quote from: paniniamerica
Only the digital card is being auctioned. If the buyer wants to keep the physical version they are not required to send it with the digital one for those original 100 that were sold.

oh wow. that is surprising. i would think most ppl want the physical and are less interested in the digital (except for ppl on this forum who would want both ideally). it seems like you are able to transfer the card though to other panini user accounts?

I totally agree; for me the physical cards were the reason for acquiring them as collectibles. the digital versions are nice add-ons, but in the end unnecessary in the closed "private Panini blockchain".

just saw that the Rui Hachimura card is on re-auction as well and the seller has left the following additional selling information:

This a auction is for the digital blockchain version only.

hmm where are you seeing the luck listing?  i wonder if ppl are keeping the digital versions or selling both when they sell.

it was listed in the "public auctions"-section (where all the flawless-cards are on auction right now) but now the auction is done and it seems that there is no such showing in the "recently sold"-section like after selling during the "Panini auctions". I assume these listings are visible as long as the are on auction only. I've missed the end of the Luck-auction and can't find further info online anywhere else.

currently, besides more than 20 flawless-cards right now, also further cards from the original campaign are on re-auction and some prices are way below of the original selling price (esp. Lamar Jackson), so I assume that owners are just selling the digital versions (or original buyers already have weak hands coz they could not sell for millions in the first week after purchase Cheesy). However, there is no such info in the detailed view of the respective auction.

Round 6
$653.07 -Andrew Luck 1/1 Patch Autograph

the flawless campaign has started last week and some 'online-cards' have already been sold. imo, a completely unnecessary campaign  Roll Eyes

now I've seen that the first card from the original campaign is already on public (re)auction.
- card: Andrew Luck 1/1 Patch Autograph
- original auction price: $653.07
- current bid: $600.00
- buy now: $1,200.00
- ends: in approx. 20hrs from time of posting

curious if seller is making any profit at all  Cheesy

Seemingly, Most buyers are "forced" to keep their digital versions unless they want to auction them off as well.
I have not seen any auctions for the digital cards on their wesbite, which is the only way and place you can do this in their closed/private "blockchain"
Definitely another case of using "blockchain hype" to increase visibility

The digital card are not "transferable" in a standard manner from what we have been told from Panini customer service.
Only way as of now is to auction the digital card.

Odd choice.  Kid is 17 and a phenom but there is also a chance he never gets an at bat in the major leagues.  Interesting choice and wonder where this card goes price wise

That Zion / Ja Morant card is going to fetch a pretty penny!

and one the other hand: it feels like the 20th card in this panini-campaign using Zion a/o Ja a/o RJ ... imo, not special any more, panini is just trying to milk the cash cow for another time.
