Personally, I feel the newbie category having zero (0) merit should be taken off the criteria as they seem to use the opportunity to spam the thread. Despite the fact that, almost all their posts are based on bounty reports and proof of Authentication.

Sooner, I'll join too since i'm almost at the minimum merit required which is 244 to 249. At this moment, I'm at 236 merits. I came back in June or July 2020. I logged in to the forum, some of my posts and messages were deleted and I saw the newbie location. And then I realized that now the position is formed based on my qualifications.

Not to spoil your mood but the amount of merit you have is not near the mentioned merit. If you did have merits like 240+ above which is nearly to rank up to sr. member so ratimov didn't send you merit. It's better you should increase your merit then join here again then i'm sure you'll be eligible to participate.
