What about a good mobile wallet?  Roll Eyes

blockchain.info is great.

Yeah, it is, but unfortunately you can't get it on iphone anymore because of the rapebastards that are Apple. Glad I got mine before they took is down though.

I just noticed this, trying to go to the app store and searching for one.

How come apple took block chain`s app wallet. Do they not support bitcoin?  Cry

Most companies are supporting bitcoin, I`d figure they would be one of the many to adopt it 1st, outside from overstock.com, tigerdirect, etc.

Its in February they removes blockchain app. IDK why, its senseless. They seems anti-bitcoin Sad anyway, I remember there are some bitcoiner who throwing their iPhone because of this Cheesy

http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DuQZTAJ2KLk

its very funny how reddit user destroy his iphone 4 by shooting it with a ripple in exchange of nexus 5 Cheesy if i have read that thread before i will simply get a hammer or a jack hammer to destroy my iphone for nexus 5 Cheesy

I haven't watched that before. Thanks for the link.
Btw, I was wondering how he shoot it with a ripple, and then found it is a typo. Tongue

yeah that was supposed to be a riffle instead of ripple because im using my defected phone while the other is charging :p its a bit funny how popular to destroy your iphone back in that day to bitcoin comunity Cheesy

Welcome to the forums I hope you enjoy your stay here and learn some interesting things
Make sure to get a secure wallet like Bitcoin QT or Armory and always be cautious when using any online wallet

I suppose Bitcoin Core would be much better than Bitcoin Qt isn't?

Bitcoin core is indeed the same as bitcoin-qt.

For version on and before 0.8.6, the client is called bitcoin-qt.
Starting from version 0.9.0, the client is called bitcoin core.

and this is main difference Cheesy

If someone is telling me that he is using Bitcoin-Qt I think that he is using 0.8.x

If I see Bitcoin-Core - I see 0.9.x Smiley

Good to have you here.  Don't rush into a tranaction with just anybody for your first coin.  Also try and see if your near a Bitcoin ATM to avoid the hassle of being scamed. Best luck finding a Bitcoin on this forum if that is what you decide to do.

Being around this forum definitely makes you a little jaded. It makes you think that almost everyone is a potential scammer, because of all the horror stories floating around.
