Perpetual upward in price is needed to keep mining profitable. Once that stop, the network will be vulnerable to attack.

noob comment of the day award.

I'll sell half of my BTC at $2000 to ensure a profit, and then I'll hold the rest until it hits $20,000.

I think (if you can afford to do so), everyone should make a habit of re-buying any amount of BTC that is spent on a purchase. Just to make sure you are as fully vested as possible

agree.  Coinbase online wallet has this feature built in to top off.
Electrum also has a button to take you to coinbase to do that.

I will continue to average in every 2-4 weeks.  I would slowly scale out at 5k - 10k and hold about 10 or so for fun.....  Just one person's plan......

I'm not selling until I have some serious BTC!
You probably already have some serious btc wealth, the world just hasn't figured out how valuable your holdings truly are, yet. They will, if you're patient.

I have almost all of my liquid assets in crypto currency. I will not sell either, though I invest in not just Bitcoin. I also invest in other crypto coins.

For me, this is the new gold standard. I am nearly 75% liquid asset invested in BTC.[...]The day I can walk into Whole Foods and buy food will be the day I put the other 25% of my money into BTC.

I do the exact same thing.
Because of the inflation in my country ...

Hello !

According to some post on the forum, this month (July) BTC should hit already $2000, but in fact this brave coin still struggle around $600  Sad

I think the right question is: when BTC will hit $10,000? One month, one year, 10 years ??

...Until I have enough to use it to fund my own traveling like that one family did. Though the way things are going, I might actually get a decent price for it by the time that happens. Tongue
