What's the downfall with verifying your identity? Unless I'm missing something I can do this for you, shoot me a PM if you want.

Nothing, I guess people don't like sending their ID to shady sites.

government(s) could grow a database of people that if they determine bitcoin was illegal they could prosecute us. they do whatever they want
retroactively? i doubt that could ever work in practice.

I've never used bitstamp before but what kind of information do you have to verify? upload passport etc?

they just started 9 days ago

good question:

ACCOUNT VERIFICATIONTo verify your account please submit:
a HIGH resolution image scan of a valid government issued ID (passport, ID card, driver's license,..)
a HIGH resolution image scan of a recent proof of residence (bank statement, electrics bill, water bill, rent contract, tax return, council tax, etc..) sent to your name and home address, no older than 3 months.

currently all i have is
first name: four
last: twenty

which it lets to be changed any time

bitstamp now requires verification which I dont want to do.

I have 3btc in there i want to get.

I'll giving 0.2btc if you could verify my account for me; you could then close it after withdrawing the bitcoins.

Steps involved:
step 1. you'd send me 2.8btc
step 2. I'd change my login password to something you want
step 3. you login; (change email optional) and verify account
step 4. after verified you withdraw the 3.0btc to your account
step 5. give me back password or 'close account'

I can do this, but the way I see it I'm loaning you 2.8 BTC. Forgive me, but I don't trust you with that much.

Why not just ask for verification documents and pay for those, instead?

I've delivered on tens of thousands (USD) worth of contracts in the past

I don't care how one does it I just want my bitcoins and to never use BitStamp again

my name was never on it

don't you have to verify such information as your name? how does one provide verifying documents for someone else's name? otherwise, if you can just change your name, KYC on bitstamp is a joke....

I never had to input any name at all until I verified ~.~

So you're going to verify on your account, and on the OP's account?  umm, will bitstamp notice?
