So.. thats it ?

I bring up what should be a topic of concern and all I get is ridicule and a few dumbasses that found the 'ignore' link. lmao

I guess miners like seeing their reward estimates drop when the pool f's up aaand no one has any hard data on how fair DGM really is.

And this is how namecoin died, ... not with a bang but with a .. burp?  https://github.com/runn1ng/namecoin-files

If people start doing this on a large scale Ozcoin will be dropping nmc before it pwns our hdd space.
I was already considering removing the auto convert feature and allowing those that want the extra income to trade for themselves Smiley

Bad news for namecoins.

I am happy that I never started to work on MM for my pool. It would have been a waste of my time.

https://exchange.bitparking.com/main

^^^ Also the price of namecoin has been dropping recently. So I do hope miners do not take the removal of namecoins as an issue.

I mine with Ozcoin and I support the discontinuation of MM.  I've actively encouraged all pool ops to cut it off.  It's dying a slow death because no one wants to be the first to rip off that bandage.  I love the idea of NMC but at this point it's a complete distraction that is costing pool ops (and by extension miners) more than it is worth.

Think for yourself

This thread is full of miner's posts regarding the pool's connection and other issues.

And what pool thread isn't?

That is the purpose of these pool support threads, to get help from pool operators and the bitcoin community at large.

Watch out for the "Neg-Rep-Dogie-Police".....
I have lots of opinions but absolutely no knowledge about pooled mining reward methods. Pay some attention to me!

If anyone reading this is uncertain about DGM as a reward method, there is a large amount written about it and I will be glad to post references. I have already done so for HippieTech previously, however he or she did not understand it.

As for this weird vendetta he or she has against Ozcoin - I really don't understand it. Most of the pool ops around are nice people and trustworthy, and Graeme is one of the best.

The facts speak for themselves. If the truth hurts, plz go find yourself a band-aid.

Ähm, which "facts"? Would you mind sharing them?

Sorry? You didn't understand how DGM works and thought people were getting ripped off during a run of good luck when you did try the pool.
I guess your understanding has not improved...

I didn't mention DGM but since you brought it up...

Show me when/where the DGM system repays all the BTC it takes during the lucky streaks. From looking at the last few pages of your block history, its easy to see that payouts of <25BTC far out number the ones that are over 25.

At least you cut down on the 14-20BTC payouts.

@ abracanoob You were the one that insisted that it had to be my setup and/or Guiminer that was to blame for my connection probs at the time. I'm sure you were already well aware that these issues have been going on for some time. YOU tell me who the puppet is here !

Do you mean.. recent and ONGOING issues ?

During the last 2 months alone, this pool has cost miners a mountain of BTC/hashpower. They deserve compensation.

That's just wrong. Way wrong......where's your head at?

Now I know why I ignored Hippie Tech.  I wonder what pool he's a puppet for?
Wish the forum would ignore idiots like this.

Maybe your attitude should change a bit.   Undecided

Graet works around the clock along with a team of programmers to make sure ozco.in is one of the best pools around.

Maybe a little gratitude for the heads up and proper communication of these issues?

I'm sorry?
one server had unexplained downtime on 2 occasions recently, we contacted our hosts for help and it has been stable, now I am passing on a message from our host that there will be downtime due to them doing updates.
I always recommend miners set failover in their miners so in cases of unexpected downtime they do not lose income.

Just got this from the host of eustratum server

Unplanned Emergency Maintenance
Event Details:
Start Time: 2013-02-21 02:00:00 CET
End Time: 2013-02-21 03:00:00 CET
Impact: Expect a partial loss of service for 60 minutes

Activity Details:
We were advised by our vendor to update the OS of one of our core routers. We will be performing an emergency software upgrade on our core routers at Global Switch in Frankfurt tonight. During the upgrade we will switch between the redundant routing engines and within that time-frame you should expect a short loss of service.

Hopefully this is also the cause of recent issues and will resolve them
cheers
Graet
