The servers themselves are OK

By that I thought you meant mining could continue, sorry Tongue

Having issue re-connecting a miner, no matter which server address I try, is it just me or is anybody else having trouble?

Previous post I posted.
Somewhere there is a DNS resolve issue for all of ozcoin.  The servers themselves are OK

Hashrate on ecoinpool is starting to drop off as miners move to stratum and VarDiff
In 3-4 Hours I will be moving the us.ozco.in mining dns to us1.ozco.in
We will then have a stratum and an ecoinpool node in US, EU and AU
The worker page on site is always updated with latest mining URLs
This is the first step in restructuring our setup to reduce costs.
More work will be done over the next month, most if not all migration we should be able to do without affecting users or mining.
Further updates to follow
Cheers

BTC shares are now being counted.  Thanks for hanging in through this.

All shares mined during this non-counting period ARE being counted.

Ozcoin hosting is having issues ETA on fix unknown.

all shares are being logged and all that cool stuff
I just noticed that CGMiner was saying shares were accepted, but my widget was saying all my workers were offline.

Thanks for the update!

Anyone experience high reject ratio? (2%)
I've had 1 reject in the last 2 hours. You on stratum?

I had 1 reject in 3 days, then yesterday suddenly 5 within 18 minutes (all on "eustratum"). Still the best rate I've ever had.

A network reconnect is usually the cause of a bunch of rejects (your IP address changes on DHCP, your connection has a short outage or even if the OzCoin server ever restarts)

Otherwise, the rare lost shares are either if you have variable difficulty and you manage to cross a boundary that switches your difficulty (quite rare) or you happen to be sending a share just at the same time the server sends an LP - also quite rare, but more common the higher your network transfer latency is.

Although I have mentioned that the problems with stratum are fixable, they are, also, relatively negligible

The lost shares are next to nothing compared to GetWork and even GBT

The only real problem at the moment is if you have a very bad network connection and keep losing your Stratum connection.

Think for yourself

Rate was 31% higher for 144 blocks (103 before and 40 after)

At average 10 minutes per block, 144 blocks is 24hours
but they averaged 7m 37.65s (a massive 31.10% higher block rate) and only took 18hrs 18min

Kano,
Thanks for the clarification.

The 144 blocks to 210040 was actually 31% !!!

31% of what?
The block rate was 31% higher - all difficulty information is based on the target of 10 minutes per block.
For those 144 it was 31% faster (which is big for block rate)

So on the last 86400 seconds of the end of 50BTC block rewards 31% more blocks were mined? Or maybe 31% less time was used to mine the last 144 blocks.  Either your too confusing or I've had too much to drink.
Have fun in KC,
Sam
