Great stuff, don't forget to put a redirect in your regular getwork servers' headers.

[...] Once Stratum is setup and running alongside our current ecoinpool we will start coding for variable diff. [...]

If you do "dynamic variable diff" (the pool tries to retarget the diff to hit a certain number of shares/minute) please have an option to disable it (on a worker basis).
As you know I'm "hidding" lots of small miners behind a few workers, calculating the diff on a worker basis would make the miners variance explode...

No, it won't. If you have for example, one worker with one miner at 5 Ghps and one worker with 10 miners at 500 Mhps, the variance for each worker will be the same.

Sending you a PM as I don't want to hijack this thread...

1st November already!
Stratum setup has been under testing without DB for 36 hours
Currently we are hooking up to a testing DB
Once we are satisfied we will hook into main DB and ask for Stratum testers
Currently we have setup a separate node for testing Stratum which will be taken down when testing complete, we are setting up Stratum nodes in EU US and AU on current mining nodes to be ready to go once testing is complete Smiley
Once Stratum is setup and running alongside our current ecoinpool we will start coding for variable diff.

We are planning some updates and fixes to the frontend, our drupal guy recently moved house and is waiting for his internet connection :/ once he is back he will be onto it Smiley

A reminder until Block reward halves we have reduced fees to 2% for DGM and 4% for PPS
Best wishes
Graet

I see, it's funny because polar bears and penguins actually live in opposite hemispheres, and transporting one to the other's habitat would cause hardship due to the specialized environmental adaptations that have evolved in each species, making survival in the opposite hemisphere difficult.

Plus there is the raping of a dead bear.
You trying out for some subSTRATA award or something?

Over 24 hours. 15M shares.
Only 521.17162% - not too bad.

The pool pays out transaction fees? I think it's time for pool miners to start laying down the law of Bitcoin since we have an interest (instead of additional Bitcoin fees only enriching pool ops). Our pool now shall include only transactions that have a fee! Including anything else (even if it is high priority and shouldn't need fees) makes our block bigger and increases the chances of an orphan. Additionally, we rank fees from highest to lowest, if the block is too big, we actually take the highest fees only! Time to encourage some fee-paying.

So I had an issue where BitCare on my Android phone was displaying everything but the hashrate, but I deleted the entry and readded Ozcoin, and it works now. Prolly just an issue with my phone. It doesn't like me.

Any news on stratum support?
Hadn't heard of bitcare before now. MiningMonitor needed a prod after we did some API updates...

Stratum support is still due by 1st November, no further news currently.
