I would be happy, but the chances are slim. We will have better chances next year.

Be ready!
I am ready and I believe that there is a good chance that at the end of 2016 the price is going to be $1000.
I might not be sure but I know that there is a chance of it happening.

Nah, can't see the price reach $1000 again this year. It's too soon. Maybe that we'll get to see the $1000 level somewhere next year. That aside, what exactly gives you the impression that it may be possible to reach $1000 this year?

i pray it happens because many of us here are waiting for that day so that we can sell and make good profit

You have to wait little more to get this price, but it's very possible price will get increase up to $1000 within this year, bitcoin is still one the strongest currency because it is true crypto currency.

The price of bitcoin at the start of this bitcoin was 380$ and it is constantly increasing. Till date, its value is 600$ , although we hit 750$ mark this year. I hope growing at this rate we can easily make 1000$ by this year end.
I also hope so, but the reality may be when the price of bitcoin to $ 850, many people will sell bitcoin they have if it occurred before the end of the year, and most likely the price of bitcoin will stabilize at a price of $ 850, but I still hope that the price of bitcoin will actually reached the price of $ 1,000 this year

i dont say its impossible to hit $1000, due to recent hacking the price decreased by 25%, but its recovering with the time... i think it will hit $1000 but not in the end of 2016 but may be in 2017-2018
lets prey for that day...

Let's hope the coins are not stolen by the owners of the exchange. Then it can be seen as a scam. If it turns out to be a real hack, then it's still the fault of Bitfinex as their security should be top notch. Other than that, the price will definitely recover. I am sure of that as the price has always gone up again after something really bad happened.

I heard that the Bitfinex used the similar wallet system like some other exchanges, but there is no hack on other exchanges.

Exchanges using similar forms of storage of their coins isn't really the issue. We don't know yet how the hackers managed to get into their system to drain their wallets. Either way, hacks means that certain parts of their security are simply not secure enough, or there are serious holes in their code.

They ran away with the cash. Wouldn't you be tempted to do the same thing if you already had an illegal company AND you got $65MN waiting there in the users' acounts? You would. This is very dangerous, and it seems like the owners lost it. Another few millionaires, getting rich from ponzi schemes.

It will be really sad if it were the exchange owners stealing the coins of innocent people. What worries me more is that the users of their exchange are suffering a huge loss. So, if turns out that the owners of this exchange are the thieves here, they are still in charge and can also pull off another "hack" where they once again lose a huge load of coins.

Bitcoins are traceable the hacker who stole bitcoins can't get away with that sooner or later he will get caught. Now nobody even want that 1000 BTC giveaway unless the one who stole it and creating new accounts.

Bitcoin is traceable to a certain extend. The hacker(s) can simply mix their coins through various sites. Especially if it happens with small amounts. And if somehow the operators of the exchange are responsible for the theft, then believe me, they will not share any information on what addresses the coins are sitting in and have been transferred to.

Yes and I don't think its easy to trace those coins which were hacked by the hackers as you said he will simply mix his coins, so the coins once lost are lost, it cannot be recovered.

We may need to report to the police about the hack and the police will find the hacker eventually in the future.

Price crashed after the bitfinex scam but now it has started to recover and we are seeing slow growth in the price, and I think $1k price is possible achieve at the end of the year.

Hard to say but with the numbers the way they have been lately it is not looking to good right now to peg that number to price of bitcoin. That is about double it's value of what it was 2 days ago.
Even without the recent Bitfinex hack I couldn't see the price come anywhere near the $1000 price level.

I think if we see the price reach $800 that we have done a very good job. Simply because there is still a good amount of selling pressure on the market.

Yeah $800 price is good to hold and I bet if we reach that price in coming months then majority of users will sell their coins to secure profits and I think that is the right thing to do.

That is right. I think $800 price could be achieved in a few months considering the price is just $550 now.

We should not be worry about the present crash as it was the effect of bitinfex scam,  but its recovering now and it will increase in coming days when people will start buying again.
well i doubt that it was a scam as it was just a theft, though i must agree that the price is going to recover, im not too worried about my investment in bitcoins, i hold
