Hard to say but with the numbers the way they have been lately it is not looking to good right now to peg that number to price of bitcoin. That is about double it's value of what it was 2 days ago.
Even without the recent Bitfinex hack I couldn't see the price come anywhere near the $1000 price level.I think if we see the price reach $800 that we have done a very good job. Simply because there is still a good amount of selling pressure on the market.

Yes, $800 seems a more realistic level, although we need to keep in mind that before the recent halving most of us were expecting a pump to the moon these days and our predictions failed drastically. So I have learned that it is better to keep a more conservative expectation taking into account the great unpredictability of this altcoin world.
yeah if we have limited expectations then we will never get disappointed from bitcoin, but if you expect unrealistic value then you will surely get frustrated if you don't see that price.

We're going to be stuck in $500-800 range for the foreseeable future. There's no new thing coming along for bitcoin, we can't even fix the tps limitation, in-fighting by the bitcoin core developers, no leadership, no vision for the future, it's just pathetic, the shape we're in. I think $600 is too high, given the fubar situation. I'm sure it's all going to go down soon.

i think it is possible that we will reach such price pretty soon, peopple are going to buy because they will want to earn and we might even reach a new all time high
It is possible. But I hope the price rise is supported by mass adoption, ie usage increase, not a pump and dump.
Yeah, now the only possible way to increase the price of bitcoin to that rate is mass adoption, it will be a permanent increase in the price, otherwise if we only rely on pumps and dumps of traders then it will not be a long term benefit but will be the benefit of only for traders while earning from their buying and selling.

I don't wish to bring bad news, but we are far from 1000 $. I don`t think bitcoin can go so high after this fall. It would be unreal, I`m not trader, but if it really go on 1000 $ for one bitcoin, then we are crazy, all of us! Its double from now, in so short period, almost impossible to happen in my opinion.

We as normal traders don't even make a dent in the price, unless we all work together and form a solid wall of buying power. Otherwise we can just continue to look at what the whales are doing with the market. I think $800 is a fair price target for this year.
