I see alot of the regular books taking bitcoin now..... getting interesting
It is getting interesting. The bitcoin books still process depoists/withdrawals much faster. The other advantage that bitcoin books have is that you remain anonymous. With the fiat books, they still may require ID and utility bill.

So - I have a "friend" that has run a sports book for years. Already has the website etc. *10 years and would be at the top of A list!!! I am looking for someone to help integrate the option of bitcoin payments into the website for him.
He has never slow pay'd or screwed anyone - he might tell you after a few months that he appreciates the bets but would like you to place them elsewhere. But its a business.

I think Nitrogen has to be the best Sports book hands down. They offer the best payouts as comapared to the other sites, and that is what matters the most for sports betting. They also have a decent interface for betting.

Just to repeat, only play at a top rated books for the Super Bowl as well as some time shortly after the Super Bowl. Many books have gone under after the Super Bowl. One book offered no juice for the Super Bowl. Another book had an off line giving them one way action. They lost the bet and went under.

I will edit this post if found untrue. With newer books it's sometimes best to get out a claim without a thorough check. With an established book, the claims are checked prior to an accusation or warning.
Another reason for posting this today is that the NFL conference championships are today and they are giving away a 20% bonus with a 2x rollover. This is unsustainable with the margins that they are using.

We have markets for MMA, and are working diligently on providing a more robust set of options as we have in the past.
Our new provider has worked with us on a variety of other different asks outside MMA, so I'm very optimistic they will have parity shortly!

casinobitco.in confirmed they switched odds providers and now have nothing for mma. Very saddening because they offered the best mma lines.

Nitrogen is one of the best books as far as margins are concerned. DirectBet is one of the worst. Nitrogen, Betcoinsports, Casinobitcoin and Cloudbet are all reduced juice shops.
Ive been using Directbet for quite a while now n havent faced any problems yet. Could you tell me y is it one of the worst? I have used Nitrogen before..!! they take ages to grade games. Quite a lot of the time I see on chat users asking mods to "please grade xyz game". But I like Nitro too other than that. I generally have seen better odds for favs in directbet than nitro. the only complaint I have on Directbet is that they hardly worked on their look. It looks like some amateur made that site.
Why don't give it a try on BetBTC? Our events are automatically settled (graded) when event finishes.
The only inconvenience at the moment is that as we are a new site, we still don't have many liquidity. However as we work as a Bet Exchange you can ask the odds you want (price) and your unmatched bet will eventually be taken by another user, turning it to a matched bet at a good price for you (like on betfair)!

I looked at the offerings on NBA and Soccer. I see odds listed but no amounts showing how much is on offer.

Amounts Matched / Unmatched and Market Deep can only be seen on 'Market View' Page that requires login, while loged out you can only see the best unmatched back-lay odds offered by users at the time.

During the past days there were some problems in the Darkcoin network as a result of the network integration to a new version. These were not our fault or in our control.
However, all issues have now been resolved and betting with Darkcoin is working fast and instant as usual.
The bets reported above were confirmed and won.
We would like to take this opportunity to Thank Evan and the Darkcoin team for working with us on getting things back to normal as soon as possible with a minimum downtime.

Posters here at Bitcointalk are tech savy. They understand bitcoins and alt coins and like being able to bet with them. Posters here also like the free small contests. Ignoring the gimmicks and solely evaluating DirectBet as a sportsbook, they come out as one of the worst.
There is a Las Vegas sports forum that will soon be posting the rating's guide used here. If a poster there asks me for my personal opinion on DirectBet, the below would be my reasons for not recommending DirectBet.
1. Under no circumstances should a book be able keep a bet open without accepting/rejecting within a few seconds. Some books delay action a few seconds to prevent accepting steam plays. With DirectBet, it's not that unusual for bets to be held for an extended period of time. This alone would keep me from recommending DirectBet to any gambler.
We confirm or reject bets instantly as soon as they arrive in our wallet. This can be verified by the time stamps in the blockchain.
What you are referring to are a couple of your bets that were broadcasted to the Bitcoin network in a few minutes delay by your wallet provider blockchain.info. As a result, they did not arrive in our wallet on time. We provided blockchain evident for that.
This was blockchain.info fault. Nevertheless, since we have many clients using blockchain.info as their wallet, and since these delays did happen from time to time, several months ago we added another connection directly to blockchain.info infrastructure so that we get notifications for transfers sent from their wallet before they get broadcasted to the Bitcoin network.
Thanks to that there are no longer such delays.
If you are still concerned that your bet transfer may be delayed by your wallet and want an option to cancel your bet if it arrives later than planned, we do offer such an option.

You can deposit your bet first and have full control over when it is confirmed, just like you have with deposit books, and with an option to cancel your bet if it arrives late.
