@Barnstorm. Did Nitrogensports announce that they would not be honoring the bitcoin cash equivalent to their users' bitcoin deposits?

Also hehehe, why were you storing some bitcoins in a sportsbook during the time of the fork?

I wasn't aware of the Bitcoin Cash Fork date, and because I hadn't been to the Nitrogen site for quite some time, I didn't see their notice to remove funds to be sure to get the Bitcoin Cash. I told them for such an important thing, they should have emailed a notice to all of their clients. But did they really want all of their customers to remove ALL of their funds for the Fork?!

No of course not, but I reckon they informed everyone that they would not be honoring the bitcoin cash equivalent from bitcoins deposited in the site.

Also, Nitrogensports allows their customers to remove all of their coins anytime for any reason because bitcoin makes it possible.

Is nitrogensports reliable when depositing and withdrawing large btc amounts?  Why do I keep seeing scam alerts on other sites when I do my research on google?  Do they and these other gambling sites just decide when to be fair and when not to?  I really want this to be a reliable place as I would play there everyday.  But as it looks now, there's some red flags popping up.

Anyone care to give me a first hand account?

Nitrogen opened in 2012 and I've been playing there since the beginning. They have a sportsbook and poker room. Nitrogen is the largest of the bitcoin books. Payouts are taking approximately 10-30 minutes right now. Just as game-protect posted, there have never been any problems at Nitrogen as far as payouts and they have made 6 figure payouts.

Except for my Bitcoin Cash experience I've never had any issues with Nitrogen. Withdrawals are not immediate, but they eventually get done. Maybe in 30-60 minutes rather than immediately like with Fairlay. They just have chosen to grab and keep the Bitcoin Cash money of many customers. It's gotta be hundreds of thousands of dollars if not more. They claim they warned everyone, but they only did it with a banner on their site. They did not email everyone.

Do you know the folks at Nitrogen?

One thing they have hanging over them is that they did not credit account holders with Bitcoin Cash when that Fork happened in August 2017. That means they are sitting on a lot of Bitcoin Cash that rightfully belongs to their account holders. A lot of folks are pretty upset with them about this, including me.

well to be honest I hate sites that didn't pay the BCH but there is nothing users can do about that
once a site doesn't make a statement regarding a fork this means that most likely they won't pay out users , not only nitrogen but there are plenty of other sites that didn't pay the fork

I really doubt that they will even consider paying BCH now , I guess they don't even have the data of users balances at that time

Yeah, whatever people didn't get in terms of BCH, which is half the dominance of ETH now, they should be. They should have the data of user balances, surely servers keep this data and they would have made sure this happened during the snapshot. It has never ended well for those who didn't give out BCH, even trusted escrows who kept money on this forum had come under fire for not giving it.

I've heard arguments on both sides of should/should not.

But it's wrong in any case if the BTC holder never gave the BCH to the rightful owner. Nitrogen, if they didn't, should respond to that and if they never emailed users, that's wrong too.

Actually, they say they did take a snapshot at the time of the Fork, so they might implement BCH some day. Not holding my breath though. Still, if they were truly holding all clients' Bitcoin, then they received and are sitting on a lot of BCH money and not paying it out.

Nitrogen is great to deal with. Almost all the books have been very good in replying to questions concerning their background as well as any problems that may occur. If they aren't willing to communicate with us here they will be severely downgraded as accountability is important. This is a posters thread.

I thought about Nitrogen and the Bitcoin Cash situation. Since we don't know how much of Nitrogen's funds are held in bitcoin and how much is held in a fiat currency, it would be unfair to penalize Nitrogen. I do know that Fairlay paid customers.

Yes, I got my Bitcoin Cash from Fairlay, but not Nitrogen. People have theorized that maybe Nitrogen did not have all of their clients' funds in Bitcoin at the time of the BitcoinCash Fork and therefore they didn't get the Bitcoin Cash at the time of the fork. Not good.

mBet.io seems to be a clone of the BetCris, Bookmaker family.

BitcoinRush has Pinnacle-like odds!

Nitrogen is good but their odds are not quite Pinnacle-like.

JetWin seems to have odds like the Jazz, SBG Global family.

I still can't figure out who's odds BetCoin.ag odds resemble. Not as good as Pinnacle's odds.

CoinBet24 has horrible odds!

Being from the U.S., I can't play with SportsBet.io or Anonibet.

I use Fairlay exclusively. I really think you should include them. They are very good and have Pinnacle-like odds. Why not include them? Just make a note that they are an Exchange. Maybe some find the layout a little confusing? They are better than any of the Books you have listed, although now that BitCoin Rush has Pinnacle odds, I will look to use them also.

This is great information. Thanks

Anyone know if Betcoin.ag has odds similar or exactly the same as any other well-known books?

They look like William Hill on some sports.

I'd like to know more about how books get their odds and keep them active, up to date and dynamic. So many to keep track of and keep up to date. Is it manual or electronic and automated?

Sportsbooks get their matchups, games and odds from a variety of providers and they also create their own depending on the contest in real time constantly twenty four hours every day.  From there their staff continues to fine tune, adjust maxes and ensure that everything is proper.  It is a mix of automation and manual work.  More and more manual for the more established books.  As they grow in staff and player size they are able to do a lot more manual work to the games, odds and lines provided.

Some books will book to action trying to get 50/50 action while other books clone the lines of another book using the same margin or an adjusted margin. Other books will move lines on bets by professionals.

That's a very insightful and dare I say well informed post.  Im guessing your an industry head Mr. Peeps Smiley

Thanks! I can't seem to assign Betcoin.ag as a clone of any other Book, so they must be doing their own odds.
