I like your thinking
if one of all the coins does the same like bitcoin you will get your investment back
and than you still have all the other coins
if youve done that like 10 months ago youve had huge profit !
I think it is not a good idea because most of the coins are getting into deep, so if you funding those crypto the possibility to earn lost was very very high. Moreover, I think it's better to select the best coin for you and inserts fund to this coin. I'm sure if you do that, your investment was earn much income thru days past especially when all crypto are increasing value simultaneously.

Just look at NXT. 356,000% ROI. Imagine if you had only $1 in the beginning. You'd have more money than I've made in my 20years of working

I feel it's unfair to say Bitcoin will never happen again. The entire cryptospace is too new to say for sure what will and won't happen. Many ICO coins have had well over 1000% ROI. 7 have gone over 10,000%. See for yourself

As many people here said, you would end up loosing most of your money because 95% of currencies will be dead by then. You might think among these 1500 tokens there might be a new BTC, but BTC was a one timer and will NEVER happen again, nothing even similar will happen.

You're better off putting those imaginary $15k into ETH and checking back in 2 years  Smiley Smiley

These guys is just a thought game. Talking theoretical money here if you had 15,000 to spend without thought.
Personally I think while 90% of the coins would be dead or dying in 5 years, 10% would hold there value or rise. If even 1% went 1000X you would have your money back at least. Sure a 1000X doesn't happen often, but it does happen in the cryptospace. Or 10% going 100X same thing

There are lots of coin. And not all are ok. You need to distinguish between good coin and shitcoin. And trading at the appropriate time.
Of course you can also take the time out for analysis to find good potential coin in the future and buy them hold a few years.

spreading too thin is not going to be as profitable as you think, don't forget that many coins out there are shitcoins that can disappear even before you say JACK.  do a good research, make a good and reasonable investment but with a calculated risk.

As the previous posts suggests, I would not do this.

Invest in what you truly believe in and you will do just fine.

On cryptocompare.com there actually is a guy who put 10$ in every top 100 coin on 1-1-2017. He made 14k profits. So yeah, might be worth a try..

I did the same thing 2 years ago, every single coin I bought still is below 100 Satoshi. lol any coin I sold has a value more than 10K Satoshi. more lol.
If you are rich enough, you would buy a coin and accumulate without giving too much to other people. and when you are a developer yourself, before doing any improvements on your coin, you'd start buying your own coin for cheap and when you update your coin will rise and you could sell to get rich.
Some advice, you should add Waves DEX and ΞDelta coins to your list, I'm begging you add my activity tokens, buy $10 of my activity tokens. less lol.
with enough funding i guess if pnd coin will be at your list then surely you will make a huge gain from this idea, but there's a corresponding risk by doing so better to be well aware and instead of placing your money on all of it better to choose maybe top 30 from the list or a coin that doesn't have value that much yet and wait for the rise.

don't waste your money in shitcoin,,
choose and invest only in valuable cryptocurrency that will bring a good profit in long term hold
Exactly!. Well look at OP on his sig, DeepOnion"Shit"Coin which have been already said of other members here that are indeed scam!.
If you really want to invest, invest on real valuable coins. ETH, LTC.

Well, you would rise in line with the market cap really as an average, so if the market cap rose by 100% then in theory your coins should do the same.

Heres a fun thought game. So there is approximately 1200 coins on CMC. And maybe another 300? not listed. Suppose you invested $10 in each one today (this week? How long would that take?). That $15000 USD. Hodl it! Where do you think your total investment be in 1 year? 5 years? 10, 50, 100?
Would you be ahead? Under? Counting all forks, clones ect. How many of them would be dead?
Share your thoughts!!! We can look back on this thread in 5, 10 years and find out who was right!

I'm sure you would lose money doing that. If you restricted it to top 50 you might make money, top 20 you almost certainly would. Basically the higher the ranking in cap you restrict it to, the more profit you are likely to make (excluding where you only select a few coins, as the value of individual coins comes more into play).

this is an ineffective strategy. You do not know how the altcoins will behave in a year. It may happen that by buying today at a good price, in a year they will turn to the point of purchase. Buying $ 10 for a lot of things, you're blurring your deposit. On one coin, you get + 10X, and on the other -10X. Your deposit will be in place

you should follow this guys blog....he's got 31 cryptos gonna hold them for 1 year.
http://blog.mclain.ca/tag/31-crypto-currencies-365-days/

I really wanna do something similar myself but it seems like throwing away money. I think the reason this guy did this is to generate traffic to his blog so in a way its free content / marketing money which is pretty smart.

Your investment will be down to $0 if you leave all your coins on an exchange.

Why do you say that? Are exchanges so risky? I keep some coins in exchanges for a year and didn`t had any problems
Yes saving your coins in an exhange is very risky. We dont know what will gonna happen, its a sort of advice. Better to save it in a wallet with private keys. So investing in every coin must need to thoroughly check which is best and with future.

By leaving your coins on a exchange, you don't really own them.
If something happen, you may lost everything (time and money).

Many exchange closed or were damaged on the past, leaving peoples with no more coins (MtGox, Cryptsy, CryptoRush, Mintpal, Bter, etc). Even Poloniex was hacked, Bitfinex too.
